We can't drink, wash clothes, shower, cook or anything that has to do with water except flush our toilets. There was a chemical leak early this morning that got into our water supply. Needless to say the stores are out of water and ice now. The hospitals are on conserve and might have to rely on other hospitals for linens because of not being able to wash anything. Our governor is seeing about having water flown in here. Schools and restaurants are shut down as well. This is scary because it makes you realize how vunerable we truly are.
If you don't mind, please say a little prayer that this will be fixed soon and no one has gotten sick.

I will say a prayer, luvboyds. I hope it is fixed soon.

wow....I surely will say a prayer for all of you....
how right you are about being vulnerable.....wouldn't take much to wipe out millions of people all at the same time....scary for sure....

Thank you so much! We used to keep a little extra water on hand but this time we didn't have any. Guaranteed once this is over we will always have and extra supply.

luvboyds, this sounds really scary - 'Holding all good thoughts for you, your family & friends, and all those in the community. I hope there is a quick solution and that everyone stays safe.
As a brief distraction, i go way back on these boards.. and i used to have quite a big collection of the boyds bears. I eventually gave them all to deserving friends when i downsized about 10 yrs ago. Your nic made me think of them again! Sweet!
Take care & be safe

Thank you SuesCat, I got back a good ways on here too. I collected the Bears as well. I still have them all but a lot are boxed up or put in a tote. The stuffed ones are in a tote because our new dog loved them very much. That was very nice of you to give your Bears to your friends. I am sure they appreciate the quirkiness of them all. I love them.

Prayer was said for all of those affected in W.V.
My Daily Devotions scripture for today sounds like it is fitting for your state's situation. Its Psalms 46:1-3 NKJV
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its WATERS ROAR AND BE TROUBLED, though the mountains shake with its swelling.
Keep the faith! ![]()

Thank you Oceanview! Thank you too for sharing your daily devotion as well. I love reading those and you are right.... it is so fitting. This morning I am getting cleaned up with baby wipes. Better than nothing so it will have to do. This leak has effected nine different countines. So many, so sad.
