@q-girl, Beth, You certainly have more than your share of physical pain and problems. I have degenerative disc disease, three failed back surgeries and pain from hip surgery but I doubt if that compares to your situation.
I agree that I am not addicted, dependent most likely, and I certainly don't crave or get a high from my medication. I am going to make an appointment with a Wellness doctor in the hopes he will lead me in the right direction. I am happy for you and your husband in that you both found the relief you needed from the right people. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, they are much needed and most appreciated.

@Lindsays Grandma . . . . When it comes to chronic pain, no one’s pain is better or worse than anyone else’s. I mentioned mine to let you know I truly understand what you’re dealing with. Anyone who does not live with chronic pain may be sympathetic but cannot truly understand what it is like on a day to day basis. Nor can they really appreciate the importance of adequate pain control to the quality of one’s life. It makes the difference between watching life and living life.
I use the lozenges for my medical marijuana. I dissolve them in a cup of hot coffee or tea. One in the morning at breakfast, two around four pm and two around nine pm. I spend $300 per month. However, that is actually slightly less than the amount I save on the meds I no longer need, so the cost is a wash. I also still take Oxycodone 15mg four times per day, Celebrex 200mg once daily and Topamax 100mg twice daily. While I am far from pain free, I am what I call pain tolerable, and that I can live with.
Please, @Lindsays Grandma, feel free to ask any questions you want, and I will answer anything I can. I am glad to offer my experience if it helps you to think this through.
Hugs . . . Beth

If not, they having to be working under a Dr.
All ages can be addicted on these.
He is certified to prescribe prescriptions and is under a medical doctor which makes it perfectly legal. He is extremely careful, there are pill counts and urine tests and no one walks out with a script in hand. He submits them electronically straight to the pharmacies. No hanky panky there.
Thanks for the clarification.
