Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Monday Monday!    I did a 20 minute Peloton walk on the treadmill with Lional Richie and then 30 minutes through the snowy  trail.  It was like a postcard so beautiful.

Now enjoying a peppermint coffee and watching hallmark.

@JudyL indeed you are making progress!  Yay!!!!!!!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

I haven't posted here in a while. Time flies!

I ran 4 miles on Sunday and walked 3 miles yesterday. I wanted to do more today, but my back started bothering me for no reason! I usually don't have back issues.  I hadn't done any exercise since the 5K run on Thanksgiving so I really wanted to keep up what I started again. Maybe tomorrow...

@bopper You are so good at keeping your exercise schedule and mixing it up to make it more interesting. I feel like I am just a one trick pony with walking/running. What exercise routines do you use for your rebounder and vibration plate? I have both of these items on my wish list. My third wish list item is some sort of red light therapy but not sure where to begin looking for that.

@violet runner You must wake up really early and seem to get your day started quite quickly. It takes me a couple cups of coffee to get me even thinking about doing anything.

@JudyL After your broken toe and knee surgery,  2025 will be your year to get back to the activities you love!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, @lizzys so glad you are back.  You are quite the runner!  I admire that.   Well I use my rebounder a lot.  I follow Earth & Owl on Youtube, she has fabulous routines on the rebounder and I also follow I Jump Instead on Youtube.   Sometimes I just turn on the music and walk on mine, the lymph systems loves it!   My Vibration Plate and Red light Therapy are both LifePro Fitness products and I highly recommend both.  Love the Vibration plate and numerous health benefits. So many people think you just stand on it, noooo you do not.  If you want the most from it you put together a little routine and experiment with the hertz, meaning speeds, and occilations.   I follow LifePro with that also, Youtube and their FB group. Would love have you.  I have learned so much from LifePro.

Today I did 10 on the rebounder, 10 on the Plate and 30 minutes of spin bike.   It's very icy out here and so walking outside is dicy.  I have a treadmill downstairs and a walking pad upstairs.  Motion remember is Lotion.  Our bodies are meant to move.   We sit and we rust.

I'm not a morning person either, 2 cups of coffee, jammies and watch the news, and even then I'm a slug.   Make myself do it though.

Winter storm warning again for us tomorrow and Thursday.

I had a dear friend ( whom I never met in person) pass away.  She touched me dearly and even though we never met, there is a bond between us I can't explain.  I am so heartbroken.

Peace to all!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@bopper  - Sorry to hear about your friend.  Sendng you hugs and comfort.

Today the home PT came for her last visit.  She was happy with what the Surgeon said on Friday and how I did today.  We went down the stairs again and for a short walk outside.  Later I went down the stairs myself and walked to the mailbox!  My neighbor has been getting my mail for me since my surgery so she walked with me to make sure I did ok.  All went well.

DD came by, dropped off my prescription, and did some things for me around the house.  She wasn't here long as she had to get home for a meeting but it was good seeing her.

Take care

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

@lizzys  Yup- I am a very early morning riser.  Have gotten up early for years..  I like it.. I do go to bed  by 9:30 at night though.. and  sometimes a nap in the afternoon.. HA!

@bopper  Sorry for your loss  for your friend..

Yesterday was a colder day here- but got out for a decent walk. The sun was out -that helped.. We're warming up again- no snow yet- it's staying in the mts..

Might be a rest day for me.. I am meeting my friend and we're celebrting her bday.

If I get home in time- I'll get outside later onand walk.

@bopper  thought I would mention I am having my GS overnight Fri into Sat. Wish me luck- I never sleep that well when I have him overnight. He's a little older now ( 6) hope that helps.. Know you can relate!

@JudyL - You are moving more and more.. and doing things for yourself.  Keep it up. Think you mentioned going to PT and not having it at home anymore. Bet they will be pleased with your progress.

 Have a good day..

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, I didn't workout much today.  I am so deflated from this latest loss.  It's funny how someone you have never met in person makes such an impact with you.   Tomorrow I will in her honor because she was a workout queen.

@violet runner  I sure can relate.  I never sleep when they are here at night.  Even in CO when I am there I keep thinking they will wake up and walk in my bedroom.  It's really hard for me to babysit over night and I get so tired from the nonstop talking and movement.  My son and DIL have a strict schedule and I have to try and follow it.  It's not easy.

@JudyL glad you are doing well.  Today was a good day for you!

I try and wake up early and can't.   My best sleep is between 7 and 9 am.  I wish i was an early riser, but I am not.   Last night at 12:30 am I was still wide awake but I was also thinking about my friend.

Speaking of bed, guess it's time.  Good Night!

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Good morning  Today was the first day of outpatient physical therapy.  Ugh.  Not fun but ok.  She was pleased with my progress.  Took pain pill before appt but wish I could take another one now cuz I'm hurting but will have to wait until later today.

Anyway, I'm home and going to get under some blankets, ice my knee, and watch some tv.

Hope everyone is doing ok today.

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Hello, well finally the sun came out!  It's been such a long time.  Along with sun comes very frigid polar air.  Wind chill is minus 5.

I did some on the bike today along with a short outside walk, had to cover my face with a scarf.   My nose was frozen.  Used the Vibration plate and walking pad when I came back inside.

I can't believe Christmas is so near!  I wish I felt more in the spirit.  Now I am almost wanting to clean up all the stuff, seems so cluttery.  I always go through this during the holidays.  Like it up but then want it down.

@JudyL another day forward!  How many weeks of PT do you have?

Not much else here, stay warm wherever you are

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

Happy Friday the 13th!   The sun is out and I am one happy girl!   I didn't go walking but I am enjoying it out the window.  It's still icy on the roads in my subdivision.  Probably not enough traffic to melt it off.

I got groceries this morning, and did some on the vibration plate and rebounder.   Trying to organize my little workout room.  I think I have to much stuff and need to get rid of things I am not in love with.  I go in spurts with stuff.

Overthinking of course again.

Everyone doing okay today?

Re: WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER EXERCISE THREAD

A big storm is starting tonight and going through tomorrow.  Stong wind and rain.  I love a good storm.

Doing ok today.  Started the new exercises the PT wants me to do.  I did ok, knee aches tonight and feels swollen.  Will be so glad when all this is over.  The achiness and feelings of being swollen never seem to go away.  It's always there.  Getting so tired of it.  Actually got outside today and walked to the mailbox and visited with a couple neighbors.  Was nice to get outside and see the sun before the storm settles in.

Hope everyone has a good Friday night
