@DrKelli good to hear an update from you. Puppy and work can keep you very busy. Sounds like you have some nice time off coming up!
@bopper Yes, nice weather for me , but we all know that can change in a heartbeat..
Good game on tonight. Lions and Packers. Someone told me the Lions are banged up- might make the difference in the game. Will be fun to watch. As you may remember, my DH is from WI and a die hard Packer fan. Me- Broncos all the way!
Went to the rec center and meeting a friend today..
Enjoy the day- stay warm and dry eveyone.

Good morning. It's about 11:30 here. About 45 minutes ago a 7.0 earthquake happened in Northern CA up near Ureka. It's epicenter was offshore which makes Tsunamis more probable. The epicenter is about 240 miles away, so about 45 miles south of Eureka just in case you look at a map. I did feel some shaking but am ok. There is a Tsunami warning out for my area. My DD has left her home and gone to higher ground as she is at sea level. I am just a couple blocks from the SF Bay and we are watching the news as she will come get me if needed. The news is saying that the large waves should hit our area around 12:15pm. Not worried about large waves within the Bay but they do push a lot of water into the Bay so there may be some Bay flooding.
Update: The Tsunami warning has been rescinded. Whew.

@JudyL Wow! Wasn't expecting to read that!! I heard nothing on the news. That's a big one!
Today was shoveling out from the storm, the winds wow they were wicked. I did that and then a 30 minutes spin.
I sure do miss Logan, everywhere I go in the house he's supposed to be there.
Big game tonight Go LIONS!

@JudyL Glad you are safe. We all have weather alerts of one kind or another. I have not ever experience a big earthquake and the surges afterwards..
@bopper Quite a football game.. Came down to a field goal. I think your Lions are destined for a great season this year. My husband was screaming at the TV all evening.. HA! His Packers weren't as good-at least last night.
You are shoveling snow.. and we are still mild.. I won't brag- our time will come.
I worked out the rec center yesterday and met a friend later one and we walked a sculputure park - all decorated for the holidays.(@DrKelli - it's up in Loveland ) It was very pretty even in daylight- I can only imagine it a night with all the lights. I liken it to a botanical gardens all decked out.
Today I am going to look for a wreath for the front door and some greens to decorate with. More and more I like live decorations... I do have a nice faux wreath- but will see what I can find today.. And i hope to get a nice walk in .. and perhaps a chai at a coffee shop.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Happy Friday! Another day more snow and grey skies. Heading to get groceries and I hope the highway is decent. I hate driving on snow packed roads, and it makes me afraid.
I would love to go outside and just walk without a jacket and without worry of falling. Does anyone own Ice Bugs boots? I keep seeing the ads and I really am intrigued but they are over 200$ but then again if I fell it would be well over that to recover.
I love fresh greens, I always have faux but I love fresh.
That game holy moly! Thank Goodness we pulled it off. The Lions have so many injuries, not good!
@violet runner when we were in Denver 1 year we went to some lighted up place, and I want to say botanical gardens, is that the name of the place?? We walked over little bridges and there were lights on everything, I believe you have to pay to go in. We are still planning on January 3rd to be in CO through the 11th so I hope it will be nice but I know it's hit or miss in January. I hate the airport, way to big for this girl to navigate. Gives me anxiety.
Guess I should get out of my jammies, yet I don't want to haha

Hi all. Just got home from the visit with the Surgeon. He is happy with how everything looks. Did xrays and it was kind of cool to see what my knee looks like now. Incision is looking good so no more bandages. I can finally sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees instead of only on my back. What a joy that will be tonight. We talked about my outpatient physical therapy that starts on Thursday and finishing up with home physical therapy. He said I'm bending my knee pretty well and it'll get easier as the swelling goes down. So all in all he was pleased and said I'm doing well.
So now for the rest of the day I'm going to take it easy. Enjoy your Friday!

Good update on your recovery @JudyL . I am a side sleeper too for the most part- it'll be glorious for you tunring on your side again.. it's the small things, right?
@bopper pretty sure it was the botanical gardens you went to last year when you visited.
I did buy a fresh wreath @ Whole Foods..$32! I cringed , but bought it anyway.
I know Costco has them for less , but I liked the freshness of Whole Foods and there wasn't anything fake on it. It's currently on my front door. Does that signify the end of my decorating?? HA!
Ok-, I have sent back 2 shoes in the last week. A pr. of Merrells from the Q- were ok- just not as supportive as I had hoped- and one pr of Timberlands from the Z place.
Had never tried that brand.. Not for me, but a nice shoe. So I went to my local shoe place yesterday and tried on shoes. I must be a HOKA gal. I am gonna try a new style- Stinson 7's. A little more trail type shoe- but can be worn for anything. They didn't have he color I wanted in my size- so I ordered them from Z-A-P-P-O's. Anyone have this style?
Walking this morning.. and meeting up with my coffee group. And not sure what else.
Have a good Saturday..

Happy Saturday, it's self care day for me today. I took a Detox bath, used the vibration plate, and am chilling with Hallmark.
@violet runner yes it was the botanical gardens. It was beautiful! I haven't tried that style of Hoka but my go to shoe is Hoka. I have big feet so I suppose they look clunky on me but am at the age where I don't care. I'm going to check out this shoe you mention.
We had freezing rain last night on top of the snow. Not a good scenario for driving this morning.
I have a couple gifts to wrap and can't find my tape, go figure! Stuff like that sends me over the edge!
@JudyL glad to hear the appointment went well, you have improved a lot! Forward march right!
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone

Happy Sunday! Following myself here haha
This morning was Vibration plate with light hand weights, balancing on 1 leg for some of it while lifting the weights overhead, then rebounder sit bouncing and lay down ab bouncing.
Football time now! Lions are off today but watching the other games.
Movement is medicine, if 1 body part doesn't work choose one that does!

Good morning. Took my first shower all by myself. Until now my DD would stand guard outside the bathroom door in case I needed her. I have a tub/shower so it took me a while to get to the point where I could get in and out without help. Feel so proud of myself. LOL Told my DD, right now it's these little things that make a difference.
Now will ice my knee then do my exercises. My last home PT appt is tomorrow, then Thursday is my first outpatient PT appt. I hear those are rather brutal. Ugh.
