I had a friend who used it for plantar faciitis and it worked well. I don't think it is fda approved. I wish there was more info about how it works for say, back or shoulder injury/pain.

Yes and from what I understand it isn't covered by insurance.

I am sure it is not covered.  I would love to try it on my foot which never quite healed to my liking after having a cheilectomy.  Still can't bend my foot and walk in a completely normal gait. I did have acupuncuture which helped but insurance only covers 10 visits a year.

Update on Shock Wave Therapy.  I suffer from SIRVA (shoulder injury related to vaccine administration).  The area of my upper arm has gotten more uncomfortable and my mobility using my arm (mostling lifting) has gotten worse.  After much research I decided to give it a try.  Had my 2nd treatment yesterday.  So far so good and I definiitely feel improvement since yesterday. I know someone who treated her sciatia with this method and she is pain free.  Yes it is costly ($125 per session but if I get results it is worth it to me.  This treatment was developed in Germany and is used much more in the European countries....

@bargainsgirl. I am sorry you have an injury due to an injection....if you don't mind, I am curious -was the shot administered by someone without a lot of experience, or can this injury happen randomly?

Wishing you a full recovery...I have never heard of this type of treatment/therapy.

I received the vaccine injection at a local pharmacy.  Since then,  I get them at my doctor's office in my thigh or hip area.  I cannot get injections in my other arm due to radiation treatment.
