@NYCLatinaMe I tried every way from Sunday to see if i could get insurance coverage. In a nutshell, every avenue I explored led to NOPE. yes I do wish you luck. I am resigned to paying for this until the real bill paying starts to become a problem. If that happens I will have to stop the med and do my best not to regain the weight. Truthfully I'm already looking at ways to cut my spending so I can keep doing this

@smoochy Just re-read your post, where you making a distinction between vials and pens? I only see vials offered for people without insurance on the website. For the pens they just offer a savings card. Maybe I am missing something?
Oops did I get that wrong?I apologize

Ugh @smoochy I see the Caremark CVS thing that I referred to in my earlier post is in the news today, which the lady in my physician's office told me is the day it goes into effect. Bad timing. wished my doctor would have taken me in earlier. If he had taken me in December like I begged, I would have been better positioned. No appreciation on how hard this is for patients.
I will be reading the news before assessing next steps.
I would be looking for another doctor but, obviously, I have several conditions and he has been treating me since their inception. I think he would have credibility to help me with this. It's a prestigious practice but he is cutting back because he is in his 70s. But I think his distaste for these medicines plays a part. I had seen an endocrinologist in a different practice [also good] in 2021, and she offered me a prescription for ozempic just doing some tests even though I am not a diabetic. This is before Wegovy existed. I told her I would give it one more go at losing weight without it because medicine was new and I was wary of side effects. I lost some weight and then gained it back, like always. And it turned out this medicine is fantastic and the side effects minor considering how effective the medicine is. There have been other medicines in the past, but they have turned out not to be effective or to cause heart disease/high blood pressure issues, which are issues I have based on my bloodwork and family history. [My dad died of heart disease at 58.]. These medicines alcually help with heart disease/high blood pressure. So big regret here.
I have not entertained seeing that endocrinologist now because my physician DID give me the presciption when I asked, and the problem was the lack of supply of the medicine, and now the insurance companies change in coverage policies. It shouldn't be that hard to get appropriate medication.
