Hi @bopper Glad to see this thread again (it's probably been here all along, but I guess I haven't!) But I've been exercising, consistently!
I love the muscle/fat visual...very true!
I've been working with a local weight loss coach (had about 15 to take off, have lost and kept off 9, since October, struggling to get off about 5-6 more!) Anyway, his whole thing is FAT LOSS more than the fluctuating number on the scale. I have lost 2.5% body fat, and inches too...which he considers most important. Any fitness/diet person I've heard speak, says the same..."number on the scale" changes all day...it's only a small part of the equation. He has us use the "Arboleaf" scale which measures more than the number, but fat, muscle, bone mass, BMI, etc.
Been doing online strength training 4 days a week, with a CT (I'm in CT) trainer, who transferred her local practice to all online since Covid. Been taking her classes for I think 3, maybe 4 years now, off and on. This year I've done it since March and will be continuing I think for the rest of this year.
She runs various programs, called "Straight Up Strength" twice a year for 3 mos at a time, then the rest of the year you can join a monthly subscription to her app, where all the classes live. Used to be if you bought a series they stayed in your own personal library (at no further cost), so I still have 3 series in my library I can refer to at some point and stop the app cost. But keeping conisistent with that now...she has live classes included in the app and new workouts that build on each other every month there.
Trying to keep my bones strong and stay off any osteoperosis (which I have) meds, if I can! I do feel progress in my agility, and strength, from these past 3 months, already.
In between I walk (walking pad/treadmill) and do my indoor bike. CT has had a ridiculous amount of ☔️ this spring!
But when it's nice I get some outdoor walks in too.
So that's my story at this moment.

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone has a great June! I was up early and did some work from home. Not sure what else I will get up to today.
I did notice my two QVC orders from over a week ago that were supposed to arrive last Friday and have never even shipped are now gone from pending on my credit card. I assume that means they don't have my locknlock and Beekman items and they will be cancelled.
I am now a former QVC shopper. I have already pretty much moved on to other retailers because of the shipping issues, but I thought I'd take a try with the free ship and the fact that I haven't had any problems lately. And it's about time for my Christmas shopping to begin.
I actually found some similar container pieces at Walmart yesterday, bought one, and I will go back and get that other one at some point. Beekman kind of ticks me off since I could have ordered it from Ulta with a great Memorial Day coupon which is now gone. Won't make that mistake again.
Anyway, live and learn! It's too much stress and disappointment to shop here and Laura doesn't do that in her life anymore.
Mossa has a Monday challenge to do some workouts this week. And they are giving out badges. That did hit my card for my next year's worth of access. 🤣 I might take a look and see what that's all about. I have my new calendars up and ready to go for June.
Let's do it!

@Laura14 I don't order much from the Q anymore either.. for similar reasons as you.
On a sidebar- When the Beekmans first started out , their farm was very close to where I grew up.. and the very small town of SharonSprings boomed because of them. I visited their store many times when I went back on vacation. I loved it when they were a small company...
My newer go to products is Primally Pure.. Discovering I love alot about this company.
A little yard work today.. My container plants - and a long walk. It's gonna be in the 80's today.. Also need to get my car to the car wash- she's a dirty girl!
I grilled out steaks and brats last night- so I am set for several days- just need to add sides. Thought of you @ Dazzlin.. no charcoal grill for me- but the steak still tasted good!
@bopper any luck with ginding jean shorts??

Good morning - at least for a little while longer here in CA. Just checking in to say hi. Was thinking of going for a walk, however, my allergies are so bad this morning that wearing my glasses hurts. Haven't had that happen in a long time. So, if it's that bad in my house, I am not going for a walk. Did make two trips to the dumpsters as tomorrow is trash and recycling day but got back inside as fast as I could.
So am settling in to watch Hallmark movies and who knows what else. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Checking in to say I walked around the block and did the June 1st yoga routine today.
I also forgot to mention I bought a spearmint plant. I bought a pretty stone container from St. Jude that was supposed to grow mint. I got nothing but a few sprigs that quickly died.
I replaced it with a spearmint plant from Walmart today. Let's see if I can keep that alive.
Have a good rest of your weekend!

Hi everyone and welcome to our June Thread!
@amyb really glad to see you again! I am trying to keep up my strength routines with Kaleigh Cohen on Youtube. She has free cycling and strength workouts and she's a beast! Sometimes I think I'm strong than I am, yikes! You are on a good roll by the sounds of it! Now tell me about this scale>do you have one for home, not that I need to know all the details about how fat I am Haha! I do know though that the number is just that a number and other factors need to be taken into consideration.
I did a weighted vest walk on the treadmill, I don't use incline right now because of periformis issues in my butt but I went faster when they inclined.
@violet runner no luck on the jean shorts, I don't want short short. Nobody wants to see that haha
@Laura14 spearment plant sounds interesting. I bought a money tree and even that isn't doing anything.
Supposed to be great Northern Lights tonight but dang it's so late!
The smoke is bad here, telling those with respiratory issues and heart to not go outside. Oh yesterday my sister was thrown off her horse. Can't even remember if I told ya'all this. No broken bones or concussion but dang is she bruised and sore!
@hckynutjohn So happy to see your greeting too!
@JudyL Sorry about the allergies, seems it's always something hey!
@Laura14 are you meal prepping? QVC is so slow to ship. I rarely buy anything and it's not a "value" at all!
Be well everyone!

@bopper At this point, your family needs to be saged or have an exorcism of the bad juju. Or both! ![]()
I did meal prep yesterday. I have my fruit all cut up and my roasted veggies and avocado chocolate pudding. That's why I was so excited to get my new lunch containers that I am apparently not getting. I found another brand on Amazon and Walmart actually carries something similar so I'll see which way I want to go with that. I have a lot of other containers that I obviously use, but an all in one sounded a lot better with less to carry.
Anyway, I signed up for some challenges in my Mossa fitness community. I think today is cardio so I will probably do a ride class after work today.
Have a great day all!

@bopper think @Laura14 is right- your family needs some sort of cleansing. So very sorry to hear about the horse incident..Very lucky no broken bones!
I didn't get my long walk in yesterday. A couple of short ones and I think only 5000 steps. Just one of those days, things kept coming up.
Today its biking or walking- I am making it a priority.. I read all that you gals do- I'm impressed. I guess if we all keep moving, that's the important thing.
@bopper I agree about the shorts.. not the short short ones. Maybe just google what you want and a site will come up. Amazon is my go to.. And since I don't wear shorts, I am not one that can suggest, sorry.
@Laura14 I have 2 mint plants outside.. in pots to control them. They are doing good outside and one is a spearmint.. love the smell. In the past I have made mint jelly- toying with that idea if i get enough this year.
Have a good Mon..
