Saying in advance, but this works for me 100% of the time when I'm awakened by a leg, foot, or ankle cramp.

I keep a pair of Birkenstock sandals beside my bed. When jarred to consciousness by a leg cramp, I slip on my Birks, and get back in bed with them on.

Relief is almost immediate, and I go back to sleep.

Not recommending this unless you are desperate for relief, as I was, but I swear, 100% relief.

Tart cherries, capsules, or juice make my husbands pain from gout go away on just a couple of hours in some cases. He was skeptical at first but swears by it now. So much more effective that the prescription med from his doctor. His dr said he had never heard of tart cherries as a treatment for gout. Smh

@drizzellla Yes, I had heard of the pickle juice.  One night after being jarred awake from cramps, I stumbled to the refrig, grabbed the first jar of pickles I could find, and took a drink (sorry ladies, but I live alone so no contamination) and realized it was my jalapeno hot pickles!
