Why isn't there any reviews on the Body Gym?

I wondered the same thing, but I'm guessing it's because it's a new configuration. I've been thinking about adding weight training back into my workout routine, but all my "stuff" is in the dingy basement I like this idea of the Body Gym as I can take it along when I travel. Went onto Amazon or the internet to look at reviews. Still thinking about it but will probably purchase before the day is over.

This is the newest one offered. Not much difference other Marie is on the bar stickers and an extra DVD that is really helping you with more and advanced exercises. I have it and it really works and it is easy and fun. The fun part is you only need 9 minutes a day to feel it. I ordered this one also and I have the

original .The reviews were very good and I am sure this one will be too. When you do the exercises you may think, "This won't work." but it does. Hope this helps. Just my own experience with it.

QVC almost hooked me in....almost...lol   I like the idea of it and of course it "works", they all "work".   I just have to think about it honestly and figure out if I'm committed enough to use it.    I did get a chucke early this morning.  Marie was doing a new Nutrisystem commercial in which she clearly states that what you eat is 80% of weight loss.  She goes on to say how much she hates exersize.  The message is exersize isn't important.  My guess is she'll be saying the opposite all day today.....talk about mixed messages.

It's the "deluxe" model, where they added a DVD of Marie performing the exercises.

i have the original one.   Although it is a good piece of equipment and works, be cautious.

I've been lifting free weights for over 15 years.   It took me a long time to learn how to use them and not injure myself.   It's all about your stance, with your back, your core and your knees.   I've hurt myself on countless occasions early on not using them correctly.

It's the same for this piece of equipment.   Marie does the exercises TOO FAST!    You should never do it that fast.   Weight training is a slow and fluid type of exercise.   John Schneider does it right when he's doing the motions.

When I started using this, I hurt a few days after, even after working out for years.   The resistence is tight and will affect you if you're not doing it carefully and slowly.

I am a fan of Marie's, have been for many years, but remember, she dances and performs many hours a week in her Vegas show.  She looks amazing, but it's not all due to the Body Gym.   The Body Gym will tone you and help build muscle, which overall is great for your body, but it takes more than using this item to lose fat in areas.   You have to do cardio, walking, swimming, running, climbing, dancing, etc.

I think this is a good investment, but do it slowly and pay attention to your form at all times.   I hope on the new DVD, Marie isn't doing these exercises so fast.   That is not safe at all.

Re: TSV Body Gym

[ Edited ]

I'm on the fence about this.  They concentrate almost exclusively on the upper body in the demonstrations.  I tried to see the lower body in the tiny illustration on the web site, but they didn't look great.  My Total Gym, which I don't use, is good for lower body exercises, so this might be good for the upper.  I hate the arm exercises on the Total Gym.  I could stand to strengthen my arms with this and my legs and back on the Total Gym.  My arms are very slim and weak.  I'm going to be rearranging an extra room into somewhat of a home gym (with a corner for a second office).

Any other reviews of this device?

Can I play the DVD on my laptop?

I hope it can be played on a laptop cause that's all I have presently and I did order this today.

I am a beginner to working out....I lift free weights at home...6lbs is my max and I can only do that on the bicep curl with a over head press move.  I learned to go slowly and posture is key too.  I think they get carried away trying to sell something as a cardio machine...which this is not.  I sure hope it helps....I have those bands from PT but to be honest I find them a pita to use...once you tie a knot in them you can't undo it for other things....and changing them around for different moves is time consuming.  This looks like I could do it more easily and get in many more of them for my legs.

I had considered that chair gym thing...see it alot on HSN....it reminds me of this too.

Hahahaha!!!!  I saw that commercial too.  She hates exercise and says Nutrisystem is the sole reason she lost weight.

Marie is a crock.

Very well stated!  I have this body gym, along with a stamina elliptical I got from qvc.  These two peices ARE my home gym, and I love them both.  If I am not eating right, I gain weight.  My workouts are for me to stay toned and to get a little cardio workout; they definitely won't make up for not eating sensibly.

Marie nailed it this time with having John Schneider as her spokesperson.  I believe he has really helped the sales.  With his looks and personality he could sell anything.

I just bought the bodyblade a couple of weeks ago, or I might have been one of the buyers for the TSV, today.
