Re: Phytoceramides - Andrew Lessman - How are they working for you so far?

Anyone trying the Phytoceramides have any results to post? I was not going to try these but after hearing Andrew talk about them & see his face I thought I would try it. I could see a difference in his face from him taking it along with his collagen.

I'm only taking the phytoceramides. I thought I would go ahead & try them because my scalp & face have been so dry & having breakouts & nothing seemed to help. I think my acne was caused from my skin being so dry but who knows. All I know is since Feb I have been dealing with a really dry scalp & face. My face had dry places all over it with breakouts around my temple area & some on my cheeks. I thought maybe I had Rosacea but still not sure on that. The area on my cheek seemed to be drier with flare ups in that area.

I started using Proactiv since I could not find anything else that would work. It seemed to be clearing up the acne but still had flare ups on my cheek area + it was drying out my skin even more.

I really think the Phytoceramides is what's helping since I started taking it a month ago & my face has not been clearer or hydrated like it is now since all this dryness started in Feb. My scalp also has moisture & is not dry like it was.

I will keep taking the phytoceramides to see what happens.

Re: Phytoceramides - Andrew Lessman - How are they working for you so far?

@Nightowlz I have been taking the phytoceramides since Andrew's last visit.  The only improvement I can say I have definitely noticed is to my heels.  I have less dry skin there now and hardly any comes off when I use my Emjoi micropedi.  Sorry that's kind of a gross example, but I have definitely noticed a difference there.  😳

@BExplorer I also saw less come off my heels with the Emjoi. Did not think anything about it. The rest of my skin feels softer. I have Been using Beekman soap that also helps + I take fish oil. I can still notice a difference but notice the most on my face & scalp not being all dried out.

@Nightowlz My lips are also much better since taking the phytoceramides!  I exfoliate them twice per week and always feel like I need to the day before I'm due to exfoliate.  Last night was my normal night to exfoliate and my lips felt like they didn't even need it!  YAY! I am so happy when we know what we spend our money on actually works!

I also take HHSN and fish oil.  I started taking those supplements the same time I stopped using soaps and shampoos with sulfates.  Wow my skin and nails are so much better! 😊

@BExplorer My lips are also soft but I use Beekman lip balm or Skinn 6x balm every night before I go to bed.

I do notice my skin feeling softer.

The most amazing thing for me is my face. I got up this morning & just cannot believe the difference in my face. It's almost totally cleared up. I have only had 2 zits since I started using it. I know the Proactive helped clear up my skin but left it even drier. I believe the phytoceramides is what's adding the hydration I needed so bad. I have been dealing with this since Feb & could not get my face hydrated no matter what I used.

I also take the HHSN, fish oil & evening primrose oil. I was taking 2 HHSN & started taking 1 but will probably go back to 2 since my nails are softer now.

I wonder if I would see even more if I took Andrew's collagen? I kept passing on the phytoceramides until I heard Andrew talk about taking them along with his collagen. I could definitely see a difference in Andrew's face so I bought the phytoceramides.

@Nightowlz I'm so glad your issues are improving.  I haven't used Beekman products, bit did order the Skinn 6x blame this weekend and am anxious to try it.  I also take MC in hopes that it's doing something.  😛

@BExplorer I think you will like the Skinn 6x lip balms. They really make my lips soft. The dry skin I did have on my lips sloughed off with the 1st use. I like how it even keeps the corners of my mouth moisturized where lip balms don't do that for me. I don't really notice any plumping of the lips.

Re: Phytoceramides - Andrew Lessman - How are they working for you so far?

Phyto update -

I started taking these, one per day, when they were first introduced.  I posted some noticeable things that I believed were related to taking these.

At the end of September, I had 2 cysts removed and one of the items listed for "wound care" was to moisturize the incisions daily after 2 weeks.  I decided to bump these up to 2 per day because the best way to moisturize is from the inside.

I didn't notice much of a difference other than not using Philosophy moisturizer after I showered.  I didn't feel I needed it and would just skip it.

Now that I am 8 weeks post surgery, and at 6 weeks of wound care, I decided to drop back to once a day and I really feel the difference.

Part of it may be that we have turned the heat on at work (and have had it on for a few days off and on at home).

I think if he offers these as a TS, I may splurge enough to take 2 a day.

I really like these.
