Only 12 reviews so far for these on HSN.
I've noticed two things, but I'm not sure if they're related to the high humidity here or the phytoceramides.
First, I use Retin A. I use it every day for 3 weeks and take one week off. When I go back on it, I usually get a lot of dryness on my forehead after a day or 2. Sometimes I stop it completely for a day or 2 if it's really bad, other times I just avoid my forehead for a day or 2.
For this cycle, I didn't have to stop using it at all and didn't get any dryness/flakiness on my forehead.
The second thing has to do with my voice. I do a presentation regularly at work and I tend to lose my voice towards the end. I've had this problem since I had laryngitis about 10+ years ago and forced myself to talk before I was better. My voice has never recovered from that and I lose it frequently when I talk a lot. In fact, when I know I have to do this presentation, I always made sure not to sing in the car on the way to work or go to Zumba the day before (we did a lot of laughing and shouting in that class).
This week was my first presentation since taking this and I noticed I didn't lose my voice at the end (I usually go home and work the rest of the day so I don't have to talk).
I'll have to keep watching these 2 thing to see if they remain consistent once we get into winter and dryer air.

Are they neutralizing the efficacy of the retin-a?
That would be my thought since part of retin a 's job is to erase the upper later of skin.

No idea, but a great question.
I see my derm in a few weeks, so I will ask her.

I saw my derm last week but we never got to this question, we were discussing other things.
However, when she walked in the room she said my skin looks amazing. I have been to the gym and 2 different salons since Friday and without makeup on and strangers were saying to me that I have incredible skin.
I don't know if it's the Phytoceramides or the Marine Collagen, but my skin is apparently loving it.

Update:
I went on a week long trip and pared down my supplements that week. I didn't take the Phytoceramides for the week and I did get that dry patch on my forehead by mid-trip, so I do think they are doing some good things for me.

I just reordered my 240 count size of Phytoceramides. The main reason I wanted them is to stop my crepey skin. I had never had this skin texture problem until a few months ago when my weight dropped due to a darned antibiotic I had to go on due to toxic mold exposure.
Even though my weight is back to a more normal number, my skin continued it's crepey texture.
I have noticed that after taking 2 of AL's Phytoceramides daily (since July) I have "reversed" the crepey skin by at least 50% or greater.
As far as my facial complexion, I get a lot of positive compliments. But, I also take AL's MCP, omega 3's, and HHSN. So, it's hard to tell which of the supplements work for my face and neck, but it's a harmony that is working for me right now. Plus I have been using Peter Thomas Roth skincare which has made my skin look younger too!
One thing I know fro sure, is that the Phytoceramides are really helping the texture of my skin (around my knees and the skin around and under my triceps). I just reordered another bottle of 240 capsules.

I'm thinking of ordering the Phytoceramides. Reviews sound mostly favorable. Since it is not a TS and Andrew will be back in two weeks I will probably do more research and just order before the special pricing is gone.
I've got all sorts of skin issues including oily skin with frequent dry patches and loose skin from extreme weight loss so any little bit of improvement would help.

I'm going to order it too. I'm on an antibiotic for a year....after just being on one administered through a pic line 24/7 for 8 weeks ( that was a real joy ). My face is going to look like I'm 100 if I don't do something. Drs have no solution other than drinking water...which I do. Figure with the extended return policy this is the best time to try it and give it a fair shot. If this works for me it will be the best money spent !! Will definitely update in a month!
