I think your general state of mind makes you worse.
I can remember years when none of this stuff bothered me, but for the last year or two- yikes.
I have to take a darn visual field test tomorrow.
I can't describe how much I hate it.

Please do not delay having these important screenings. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on Sept.4th,2014. The tumor was not felt by the doctor even when he knew exactly where it was. I had endless tests,6 biopsies, ultrasounds, mris, cat scans you name it I had it. All these tests take weeks and all the waiting between these tests is horrible. Talk about losing sleep, feeling nauseous, having panic attacks what a nightmare!! But I was still lucky because my cancer was caught very early Stage 1 no lymph node involvement. If I had waited the cancer would have continued growing and my positive outcome might not be the same. The nervousness waiting for the cancer to be staged and typed and onco coded is no comparison to waiting for your original mammogram results. If you continue to have the screening tests on schedule you have a chance to catch it right in the beginning and your outcome will be a good one. Em

Whaaaatttttt? That is horrible.
My doctor will not even release info. to MyChart unless it's good news. If it's a problem, she calls first and then releases results so I can read them.
When I have my yearly mammos, if I see a message from MyChart in my e-mail, I know I'm in the clear. LOL

Yay! I am so happy for you. My sister went through this as well. Got a bad mammo and sent for diagnostic. That showed concern so she was sent for an ultrasound. Ultrasound showed she needed biopsy. Biopsy done and came back negative. Luckily her doc was concerned and sent her to a breast specialist. That doc reviewed all scans and said she needed another type of biopsy. That was done and came back positive. Doc said first biopsy doc didn't get a biopsy out of any of the affected area. She was diagnosed with DCIS which is a Stage 0 cancer. There are no symptoms of it such as a lump you would feel, etc. It is detected by mammo only.

Heck, no. What is the point of getting all worked up over scary "possibiliies"? Please don't get ahead of yourself ... it really doesn't serve you in any way.
Definition of worrying:
"Worrying is vividly and emotionally picturing your life as you DON'T want it to happen ..... "
Please ..... Be kind to yourself.

@Zhills wrote:Yes, I have terrible "waiting" anxiety! Always have even though I am very healthy.
Don't get over confident. I lead a very healthy life also and waking up the next morning changed my life. I woke up with a Lymphoma and now being treated with chemo therapy. I was healthy as a horse. My entire life changed that morning. I wish you continued good health.

As a breast cancer survivor, I would suggest to be grateful that we have mammograms. It's been 15 years and I feel blessed that the radiologist was so good. I was told at the time that usually the type of cancer I had does not show up on mammograms. My oncologist said I was very fortunate that the technicians did such a good job. Breast cancer is becoming more and more treatable, but only if it's discovered. Please don't fear them.
