Jackielee-I know what you are saying and appreciate your point of view, and my POV is if people are not going to get the vaccination, than they need to fortify their Immune system with natural probiotics, it comes in many forums, even delicious fermented foods.

Probiotics help with bacteria but will not help fight a virus. They will help with digestion in either case, though. Measles is a virus.

Edited to say: I believe in God and the Holy Trinity, too. I also believe that God gives us the medical knowledge base we currently have, the advancements in science and medicine to cure disease and injury, and the willpower to exercise our choices to use those advancements for the betterment of humanity. I also believe that the majority of the population is NOT wrong on this issue of vaccination.

I also think that a small, but very vocal segment of the population is endangering both their own children and the general population due to extreme paranoia generated by hysterical no nothing celebs and also an over abundance of their own hubris on the issue of vaccinations. It's going to come back and bit them hard. It may have started already in California...

Disagree with me about what? The subject quoted was about probiotics and the immune system.

Yikes. I've seen a surfeit of posts (on several threads) with links to dreadfully bad websites, highly questionable sources, and weird misinterpretations of what the articles at the links say. Not sure why so many are cropping up, but it's discouraging to see people fail to check their sources.

BTW, my son had to have emergency heart surgery at a children's hospital to save his life when he was only 5 weeks old back in 1994. Fortunately, most children were vaccinated back in 1994. Imagine if a 5 week old (or any child) had to enter a children's hospital today and be in the same hospital with a bunch of highly contagious unvaccinated kids...Scary to even consider.

This doctor wants unvaccinated kids segregated to homeschooling. So, anti-vaxxers may be also setting their kids up for socially enforced segregation in addition to unnecessary suffering.

The Supreme Court allows for medically necessary exceptions to vaccinations in all states but, states are not constitutionally required to allow non-medical exemptions (philosophical or religious) at all.

Mississippi and West Virginia are already Medical exemption only and I believe that this issue may solve itself soon enough and people will be required to vaccinate (except for medical reasons only) in order to protect the entire population.

So is PA I had to medical exempt my kids at one point for chicken pox (I had a son on chemo) and they gave me the hardest time I had to produce so much documentation and they fought it STILL ( he couldn't be around any "live" vaccines). Also, in PA when I homeschooled my Youngest we still had to prove he was up to date on vaccinations.
