I don't usually post on this forum, but I just had to talk about the XL Glider. I got this to lose some weight for the new year. I am about 40 lbs. overweight for my 5'4" height. I love this machine! I have bad knees and it is very low impact for me. It makes it easy and fun to exercise in my own home. I just put it in front of the t.v. I can watch my favorite show while I am working out. It makes the time pass, and I barely notice the hard work that I am doing. I love it! I have already lost 3 lbs. since I started 2 weeks ago. I just had to share in case anyone has been thinking of trying the XL Glider. Best wishes to everyone on your road to great health!

Hey all, we are getting so much snow and wind today...it's almost unbearable to be outside it's so cold...

I shoveled the walk, steps and deck and filled my bird feeders. The poor birds are almost eating out of my hand they are so hungry. I am afraid this is very hard for them and for the deer this year...

Hillary77 great job on your glider...it's nice to know you CAN enjoy something that is also benefiting you. I used to have one and my sister asked to buy it from me so I gave it to her...she really likes it too. Congrats on the 3 pounds...that's awesome and thanks for sharing this with us! Come back anytime!

Nomless don't get down on yourself as we all have those days....it's a process for sure, and you asked who/ what I meant when I said Pppmint...well I meant Patti Smiley Happy

Tony thanks for the date on the Daytona, I marked my calendar.

FUTURE enjoy your weekend!

Canine are your pups handling the cold!

Waving to all!

My post just disappeared..... Congratulations, Hilary, you're doing a great job! I channeled Future today and napped for 3 hours this afternoon. Patty, agrred, anesthesia is scary. Understand your dilemma. What surgery does Lucy need? Hi, Bopper. Sorry you're having such a rough winter.

Though I need to mix it up, I've been sticking with the tai chi workouts. In all reality I wouldn't need to do a thing other than step out the door for a tad. The amount of shaking to keep warm probably constitutes a whole workout. Hard to achieve a good attitude with frigid temps. Doing better than my students, I've been getting some dirty looks when I try to be positive and say this rotten weather HAS to break at some point. Lately we're lucky if the temp gets above 0 degrees.

Think you're in the same boat bopper, but with a lot more snow? Pick your poison.... The moon seems to provide more warmth than the sun in these parts. Makes no sense. My dogs are bigger, but I nanny them when they're outside and whisk them in at the first sign of discomfort. The hairy one just destroyed a ball. Yeah, we're all more than a little tired of this weather......

Take care all.

Hi Everyone

Know I haven't been very chatty lately but I have been reading everyone's posts. Been struggling with a few things the past couple of weeks but hopefully things will change soon. Haven't been exercising at all and I know if I did it would certainly help with lots of things.

Hope those that are in the way of all this cold weather are keeping warm. Please be careful as you go about your day.

Take care everyone!

Hi, Canine and Judy, good to see you both. Judy, hiugs for you. Weights done. I went back up to the weight I was using before Christmas. It was a struggle. Muscles feel like mush now.

Morning, yes more of the same weather. Not above 0 today or probably tomorrow and add the wind in...oh well...it is what it is.

Checking in with Treadmill intervals for 3 miles, and abs and glutes off the ball. Tri's and Bi's using the stretchy band..

Judy good to see you check in. I have been a bit worried about you. Sorry you are having a difficult time..you can come here to visit us any time. Doesn't have to be a workout...keeping you in thought.

Canine yes I know what you mean about the cold and the snow...got both. Logan does pretty good in it as long as we are not out too long. We play for a bit and then I notice he is on 3 legs so we come in.

Nomless good job on the weights....it sure is a process isnt it?

Tony did you work the weekend? Big weekend next weekend?

Pppmint snow down your way too..it's really spreading South a long ways!

FUTURE hope your week goes smoothly and you had a nice weekend!

Waving to everyone!

Hi Bopper!

You are sweet to be concerned. What I'm going through is nothing bad just the adjustment of coming home after spending time with my BF and knowing I won't see him now until the beginning of August - actually July 31st which for some reason sounds better to me than ""the beginning of August."" LOL It always takes me a while to get adjusted but I'll be fine. I know the time will pass - faster for all of you than for me - but it is still a long time between visits and is hard to be apart.

I'm beginning to feel my motivation to work out coming back so I'm actually hoping to get to the gym this week. Slowly but surely I'll get back to myself.

Thanks for being concerned and missing me!

Well, kids, it's about 0 again today and windy. When I get home, I'm not going to wanna go out again to the gym.

Hi, Judy, I hope you get back in the swing of things soon.

Speaking of swing....maybe I'll make myself do a Katami k-bell DVD tonight.

Hi, Bopper, you're good and consistent with your workouts. Good job! I know you're tired of the cold, windy weather, too. Unlike us, you haven't had a break from it like we have. Oh, well, it's winter, we should expect this.

Grrr.....now my dvd player really is dead and it ste my favorite Katami dvd. I pit thedvdin, started the workout, but suddenly the player jusr stopped. No power. Can'r get it to turn on, can't grt the dvd out. Oh, well, I guess I can replace both, right. I did 15 min of another dvd using the portable player, then went back to trying to retrieve the stuck dvd. Sigh.
