Morning all, minus 17 here this morning....getting my groceries tomorrow instead because hubby said the roads are very slick and there was a rollover on the route I have to go on so not worth it go head out even though the sun is shining brightly.

Judy I was so happy to see you post.....I'm sorry you are in a funk though but we all go through that....I understand how badly you are missing your friend..and it seems like a long time before you are going back but you know time goes so fast...it will be here before you know it...Hang in there,,,, {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Nomless those dang dvd players? Sometimes mine freezes up in the middle of my workout too and that is a royal pain....Did you get the dvd out? Remember when I took the sc.....rew driver and took mine apart to get the dvd out..? It worked and actually it worked when I didn't put the top back on....strange...glad you have a portable one though as the one I have is the only one..

FUTURE where are you? I hope things are OK....I'm such a worrier....maybe you're froze up! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

Canine yes we have tons of snow and with these temps...yooza....poor Logan can't take his much needed walks or exercise and I know he is missing it but we can't....I try and throw his rubber bone down our hallway so he can at least peel back and forth...

Pppmint hope your day is good and don't have to ask if you had a good workout...your totally inspire all of us....love reading your posts about Lucy too {#emotions_dlg.tt1}such a sweetie!

Ok kids time to get some housework done. MY DS is coming home tomorrow after a long time away....need to do some bed sheets and vacuuming....

Hi everyone! Sorry you're having dvd problems nomless...machines aren't working out too well for you lately! Wink

Hi Judy...hope your spirits are lifted soon!

Waving to canine, bopper and everyone else...{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

FUTURE...have to ask you if your treadmills at the gym that go up to 30 incline...do they have the huge screens on them and then the tred(almost like tires) for the belt? My gym has new ones...some of those and some other high-tech ones and was wondering if they were the ones you guys have. I've never seen them before.

Anyway, while I'm here...had a really good work-out yesterday, I love the PT that does Monday's work-out. Awesome work-out, really pushed myself and can feel it today!

Today I went to my old gym...ran on treadmill, did the side-to-side ski machine, lifted legs and rode the bike for over 2 miles as my cool down. Saw a couple of my old friends...I guess I'll try and get back there once in a while...need to decide how to fit this all in without over-doing it.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Grocery shopped today and went to TJMaxx and got a new fry pan for our eggs and turkey sausage. Couldn't take it anymore and for some reason, I can't use my good pans for that! I don't know why, I'm weird like that.

Hi, everyone.

Bopper, stay warm. I'm glad you postponed your shopping. No need to be out on dangerous roads.

Patty, glad you had fun at both gyms. I giggled that you needed a "breakfast" pan. I do have one that I use only for eggs, so I guess I have one, too.

I went to Walmart over lunch and got a cheap-o DVD player. Although I could make do with the portable one, the picture isn't very good. So I'll give this new $44 one a try.

Bopper, I've tried but so far, I've not figured out how to get the broken DVD player dis-assembled so I can retrieve the disk. I've taken out some sc-rews that looked like they would release the top part of the case from the bottom, but nope. I've tried plugging it in a few more times, hoping that magically it would power up and spit out the DVD, but not so far. I'll keep trying.

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm. Classes got called again for tonight because of the dangerous wind chills. Contrary to popular opinion everyone in my state is not happily camped out on frozen lakes, ice fishing and guzzling beer. Or I'm not, maybe that's my problem.

Hope your son's visit is a much needed break for you bopper. Enjoy. Hope he can travel without any problems. Hugs to Logan and his feet. A neighbor lady had her collie sporting booties the other day. She said this winter has changed her dog's mind about not liking to wear them. My GF said she started using musher's secret balm on her dog's feet to combat compacting ice under her feet and that it is working well. I may give that a try. My hairy one has that problem and Willy isn't liking the cold on his paws one bit.

Hope you win the battle with your dvd player nomless and get your fav dvd back. What a hassle. I bought a portable Sony to help motivate me get stuff done when I mess around in the dining room. It's still in the box, way to go....

Though I have more tai chi and shoveling to report, I've spent more time baking. Would be nice if this crummy weather eased up just a bit. Made scalloped potatoes yesterday and managed to slap some cookie dough together for baking today. The bad orange one was up on the refrigerator perhaps contemplating how to dive into my softening butter in the bowl. Kind of cute, sort of. But I was smart for once and put it together and put it in the frig. He can do a lot of mischief in a minute or two.

Patty, Tony, FUTURE, Judy stay well, waving.

Yea! I set up the new dvd player and figured out how to make my universal remote talk to it. And I got the Katami dvd out of the broken player. It's playing ok, so I don't have to buy a new copy, saving $20.

Yay nomless!

Woke up to white this morning. Very pretty but I'm sure the neighbors didn't appreciate me out there shoveling at 5 a.m.

Legs are a little sore from yesterday so this morning's work-out will be extra painful.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

My new friend is going to run today for the first time...she's power-walking at a 4.8 and I told her if she can do that, she can run. I know a lot of people that can't walk that fast and it's easier for them to run(jog) instead...told her to strap on her running shoes this morning because we're breaking that mental block.{#emotions_dlg.laugh} She's scared, I hope she shows up...lol.

Morning, woke up at 3:30 am...earlier than you Pppmint {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}and couldn't fall back asleep. I am worrying about my sons connecting flight into Atlanta...they are a mess today...haven't heard from him either.

But that being said I still got on the treadmill and started to walk as I felt so tired but as I went I started slowing increasing my speed and finally was breaking into a comfortable run...went 2.6 miles but Felt good that I didn't bag it for today.

Nomless glad you got another dvd player....were you able to get the other dvd out of the broken player? On mine there were 4 sc.....rews to take off the top and then I was able to jiggle it around to get it off.

Judy waving to you...

Canine supposed to get into the low teens today so that should feel balmy for Logan! I should check into the Mushers Secret Balm for Logans feet, thanks for mentioning it.

Ok I need to move along..have a good day!

She wasn't there! School was on 2-hour delay because of the snow and she doesn't have a back-up so she can't make it on those days. {#emotions_dlg.sad} I was disappointed, I know she's going to be happy.

I'll get her on Friday though! She's going to be surprised...if she can walk 4.8 on an incline, she can jog.

I busted it today!! I ran at 9.5 for for 2 of my all-outs. I'd say I did almost 3 miles in 28 minutes and that included 2 minutes of walking warm-up and FOUR base-pace walking recoveries! I think I could have done a 24-min 5k today and it's been a while.

Of course we did legs since I did legs yesterday...I knew we would! Dead-lifts, squats and lunges...with weights...lol!! Oh well...when I got tired, I increased my weight!

I think I did better when I don't have any sleep...lol! Waving to everyone!!!
