I don't cut off liquids and I never get up to use the bathroom.  Even when my husband gets up at 5 to leave for work at 6, I still don't need to use the bathroom.  I get up later than most of you.  I'll admit to not drinking enough in a day.

I can't drink tea anymore.  Maybe if it was before 2pm but any later and I'm up for 24 hours.  Coffee...I can drink right before I go to bed but not tea.  So, I can't enjoy tea with dinner anymore.

I'm on a diuretic since my heart attack.  I've never experienced dry mouth/throat and it's miserable.  I have some dry mouth lozenges from Amazon.  They really work.  I find milk more soothing to my dry throat than anything else.

My husband had a urology appt earlier this week.  His Dr told him (more than once) that getting up 3x a night to use the bathroom was COMPLETELY NORMAL.  What???? My red flags went up and I thought to myself, this guy is a nut!  I never get up.  Maybe, I suppose it's possible, I'm not drinking enough fluids.  I'd rather sleep.

I normally quit drinking anything after dinner or just sip something if I am thirsty. I do have to take a pill at bedtime so I do drink a little water then. I just hate getting up at night so I try to limit what I drink!

I don't cut off liquids at any time.  I am thirsty and have a dry mouth most of the time so I have to have my water!  I usually don't have to get up in the night but occasionally I do.  I have heard to cut off fluids up to 1 hour before bed.

I'm an early riser so I hit the sack at 8:00p, I'll drink a 6 oz glass of water about an hour before retiring and usually get up once or twice during the night.

I stop drinking about 7-7:30pm. I may take a couple small sips after that but try to avoid as much as I can. Then potty right before going to sleep. I rarely have to get up during the night.

Unfortunately, I don't.  Instead I always bring a glass of water beside my bed at night since I often want a sip.  Probably not a good idea because of course I end up having to go multiple times at night.
