I was on a 5 hour flight once and because I was nervous I had to get up twice and was in the middle seat. This older lady was in the aisle seat. After the second time of me apologizing she said that she didn't ever get up during a flight because she would wear a Depends. She had no bladder problem but getting up during a flight bothered her.
So, instead of getting up to pee.....she would rather pee in her Depends??? Now that's a new one!
Is it? Or is it more common than you think and people just aren't telling you they're doing it? I don't go around checking - do you?

What is the matter with peeing in a Depends? That is what they are there for.

@Beautiful life, did you ask your attorney, if the court would accept your written deposition in lieu of your live testimony?

The judge will understand with a dr. note. This is her trial (not jury duty), so yes the op has to be there.
I understand. I eat little before work, and don't drink much. What does the op do in daily life with going out on errands etc.?

Yes, this medication works great. I've been on it since last December and don't have to get up in the middle of the night 5 times to go. I can laugh and cough with no repercussions. There are different strengths. I started off with the lowest dose and am very happy now. No longer have to gauge whether I can have a drink of water before leaving for more than 30 minutes. In a nutshell, I'm now living the life I had before the onset of incontinence.

IBS-----IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME. Totally a different problem. Ladies --- Look it up if you don't know what it is. My DDIL has it and she takes meds that help a great deal. She had to figure out where all bathrooms were if she was running errands, going to work, on trips. It is not a fun thing and can strike anyone of any age. It is a problem, but can be helped.
@FIRESTRIPES------check with doctor NOW. The advice some of the ladies here are very helpful.. GoodLuck in your case.---------------tedEbear

My sister has been on it since her early 20's ... for some odd reason, it just started happening. She has never given birth, so that wasn't a trigger. Anyway, she's not big on "pills" but her MD said it's a pretty innocuous drug, even children can take it. Nevertheless, it really made a huge difference in her "quality of life".

I would try these meds before you go to court to see how they interact with any other medications or supplements you take and how they affect you.
They may compound your problems.

@Mmsfoxxie Going to the bathroom "twice" on a 5 hour flight, is not a big deal. No way would I wear Depends because I just might disturb the lady sitting in the aisle seat. How foolish is that???? I think she had a lot of nerve telling you, a perfect stranger, such a story.

@sophiamarie, lol, I didn't explain that well. I was apologizing to her because I had to crawl over her twice during the flight and wondered that she hadn't gotten up once. She casually mentioned why. We laughed about it and I said I'd keep that in mind next long flight.
Also, I'd better explain that she used Depends for urine, not IBS. She was a retired nurse which is probably why she came up with the idea of the Depends.
