@Mz iMac , Oh, thanks. I didn't leave a link because some people don't trust to click on them.

I just tried your link--I see it's a cut and paste also. Well, I just hope the OP takes a look.

Re: Going through a really difficult time

I am so sorry for everything you are experiencing.

You have gotten many excellent suggestions so I will simply add that you should seek a second medical opinion. To go from someone who was active a mere few months ago to be immobile, in pain and experiencing anxiety and depression, what you are being prescribed needs to be carefully reviewed. Another provider might be the answer.

Saying prayers for you...

Re: Going through a really difficult time

@DSD2  I have gone for 3 opinions, Cardio, Ortho and Pain Management all who agree its not the meds but the pain is from my spine, prior to this last year I had a DRG box (Spinal stimulator) implanted, I have had that adjusted twice with no relief

Re: Going through a really difficult time

@I am still oxox that puts a new spin on things. So the new medication isn't the cause. There's another thread for those with chronic pain. I just feel so bad for all those suffering various kinds of pain.

Re: Going through a really difficult time

Have extensive labs been run on you?

How long have you had the box implant for pain?  Could your body be rejecting the implant?

I've learned anything is possible so I hope not only labs but xrays, scans, etc. have been taken.  When you know something's not right, perservere the best you can to find the answers.

Keep at it @I am still oxox ... there has to be an answer.  Force the issue if possible.  So sorry this has happened to you.  Sending healing thoughts your way! Heart

It was brave of you to reach out to your friends here.

Re: Going through a really difficult time

I’m sorry you are in pain.

Earlier this summer you had a suspected diagnosis of spinal stenosis. Was that diagnosis confirmed? Did you get an MRI?

If I remember correctly, you broke a hip a few years ago? I’m sure your hip is long-healed but it’s also possible that your gait has changed since the hip fracture which could be exacerbating any spinal problems.

I would think that you would have a referral to physical therapy?

What has pain management said? You mentioned your implant is not controlling your pain.
