@I am still oxox wrote:Confession time, my Summer started off great we were going to the pool about three time a week. I started on a blood thinner and wham bam I quickly became immobile pains in my hips and legs. I have since changed meds about a week ago, with no real change. My anxiety is in high gear and I have become a shut in except for drs visits. I am so sad and depressed, and hurt so much I am not sure how to get out of this. I am also not sleeping well, I spend about 10 hours in bed but most of that is spend awake, I track my sleep night, this is with meds
I'm sorry you've been having a tough time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, western med has its place and is good for some things. It doesn't seem to be helping you so take the hints your body is giving you and start calling practitioners of other modalities (ie accupuncturists, naturopaths, etc). Tell them what you're dealing with and ask what/who can help. You have nothing to lose and since you're spending so much time at home, you have the time to make calls, be proactive and empower yourself.

@I am still oxox I'm sorry to hear that you are going through this. I hope that your doctor can suggest something more so that you feel better very soon.

I am so sorry you are in pain. I have so many ideas, but this is probably not the appropriate place to have that discussion. Just briefly, time to bring light into the darkness you are feeling. Normally, movement is first defense but currently you are in pain. Moving out doors in nature will help....can you sit outside in your backyard. Breathe...breathing exercises will also assuage your anxiety. You can find many on You Tube...also Wim Hof offers a short breath exercise that is excellent for your current situation. Eat food that supports your health and drink lots of water.
My heart goes out to you. Everything is temporary and you have control of your thoughts. Of course, many here will say go to the doctor....these are just a few suggestions that will assist you now while waiting for that appointment. And, actually are good practices in our daily life. Wishing you radiant health!

You have been feeling badly for quite some time. It is not just the physical pain, but it is so easy to become depressed and end up dealing with both problems. Wish I could help but am sending a prayer your way.

Could you ask your doctor for some anti anxiety medication?

After I had been on Crestor for awhile and my joints started aching terribly, I just called my doctor and told him I'd rather die than live like that. He agreed that discontinuing it was the right thing to do, but even if he had told me to continue, I woud've stopped taking it. I think he knew that. I eventually ended up on a generic simvastatin, and I have no bad side effects from it.
It could be that a week is not enough time to get the old drug out of your system. However, I agree with the others that said to call your doctor. If he has an explanation that it takes time for the changeover, I'd say go with it, but find out how long to expect that to take. But if that's not the reason, I would demand relief even if that means threatening to just stop taking it.

@Icegoddess I have talked to my doctors until I am blue in the face, they do not beleive that the mdication caused this problem so I am caught in a medical nightmare. Thank you for your suggestion
