Re: Going through a really difficult time

I'd also try support groups, meditation or prayer, in person or online.  Uplifting web sites to meditate on or listen to.  Maybe massage therapy for pain?  Ask dr. about physical therapy or massage if it might be useful. A friend of mine goes to a chiropractor and finds it beneficial.  I don't know--never been to one!  But she goes to her primary care giver to.

I do think there is a body and mind connection--not suggesting pain is not real--but we can wind ourselves into a spiral apart from medical issues.  Being house bound is hard on you in many ways--and my suggestions are to take your mind to better places, and maybe short circuit some of your stress.

But I don't know what I'm talking about!  Just sending you good thoughts, prayers and hope that your days get better.

Re: Going through a really difficult time

I am sorry to hear this news--having to deal with pain is terrible.

It could be that your doctors are just not skilled enough at diagnosing the issues!

Yes, I do think that there are many complex medical situations that require consulting experts and specialists.  I do this all the time for my pets--so why wouldn't I do that for myself?

Unfortunately in this day and age, you have to be your own best advocate for everything!  You will need to seek out second opinions and experts to explore what is causing your reactions.

Yes, I believe in other methods of assistance like acupuncture, massage, exercise, and meditation, etc., but it could well be true that somehow internally you have affected your system and caused it to shut down and be in pain.

I do not understand why you were mobile at the beginning of the Summer and then immobile at the end--obviously there was a drastic change.  Did this occur when you started the medicine? Do you have to take the medicine as a life or death issue?  What if you stop for a while, and then see if you improve?

You need to be assertive and demand medical assistance to resolve your issues.  Best wishes!

@I am still oxox , I did a little research and came across this. It may pertain to you. Please give it a read. It won't take long and it is in layman's terms.

my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/24225

It addresses hemarthrosis, a condition I have not heard of before. It involves your symptoms and can be related to taking blood thinners.

Re: Going through a really difficult time

@FancyPhillyshopper I startd with a new blood thinner on a new blood thinner on Aug 4, I have been to my Cardio twice, my Ortho and my Pain management doctor and all swear it is not from the medication. I switched to another med a week ago and still feel awful. I do not drive and can not travel alone which makes seeing all sorts of professionals a challange at time, but thank you for your suggestions

Re: Going through a really difficult time

Confession is for people who did wrong. This isn't your fault! It sounds like a bad side effect so I'd look for other options. Personally, I'd stay away from anxiety medication as we all know how one thing leads to another. I think a better course is to ask questions and look for solutions. Hope you find relief.

Re: Going through a really difficult time

Why not call your pharmacist & ask about symptoms of blood thinners. It may also be reacting badly with other meds you are taking.  Ask if he can suggest other things. Sounds like something in blood thinners is reacting badly with your body chemistry.  What is the common ingredient in them?  Could you be allergic to it?

@AZfem I get all my scripts from one pharmacy for this reason, I would hope they would be able to screen for reactions
