My niece used the Vicks, she applied it faithfully for months, her nail fell off, but when it regrew, the fungus came back.

I would make an appointment with the doctor so it can be taken care of properly.

OMG. Yet another medical issue.
There are RXs for this. My husband uses one.

Good grief. Go back to the podiatrist or to a dermatologist who treats nail conditions. I'm sure there are treatment options.

I too did the laser treatment years ago. I even bought a gizmo to sanitize all my shoes.
i never lost the nail and it does not hurt. I think it's not as bad as before I'm able to ignore it and polish covers it.

I would go to a doctor.
But FYI,,,One of my dear friends is a nurse practioners. I had a nail fungus infection
( I have gel nails)...she said take clorox ..dip a q-tip into the clorox and rub the clorox onto the fungus nail. Do it several times a day. I know it sounds strange and I was nervous but I did it and it worked.
But DO NOT do it on anything that is open..no open sores or open nail.
But I do think you should talk to a doctor or podiatrist first.

Spoiler alert: I am NOT in the medical profession at all and those who dislike getting advice on these threads, please scroll on by.
I stubbed my toe on the bedframe 3 years ago and the nail started coming apart from the nail bed. I stopped wearing nail polish immediately and went two summers with bare toenails, which I didn't like but didn't want to add to the problem by covering it with polish.
I tried everything I could find and yesterday I finally cleaned out my closet and threw away six different items, Kerasal being one of them that did nothing. Keep in mind that the nail will have to totally grow out, I don't believe anything will reattach the nail. l
A friend recommended Tolnaftate 1%, an antifungal cream. I applied to the nail top and around the edges, trying to get some underneath without lifting it. I used it twice a day for about 3 months, cutting the nail as it grew. I finally realized it had completely healed the nail from separating. The cream says it's for athlete's foot so I was wary but IT WORKS!
Vinegar, epsom salts, and peroxide soaks wouldn't do any harm but they didn't do anything for me to heal the separation. Vicks didn't work but I have put it on my feet when I get ready for bed, put socks on top, and my scaly feet have smoothed out. I only do this about once every few weeks because I don't care to sleep with socks.
Good luck, but please try the tolnaftate.

Don’t use home remedies. Go back to the podiatrist or even your regular doctor. They can prescribe something that will work.

Ugh, I've had one I can't get rid of for about 10 years now!
Have tried all the over the counter suggestions...vinegar, Listerine, Vicks etc, to no avail.
Have been prescribed 3 prescription topicals, to no avail...including Jublia, which is $100 for a small .25 oz type bottle, with insurance, and $800 for a bigger bottle! Used that all last year, nothing.
Always had shied away from taking a Lamisol pill, due to liver concerns, and pros and cons talked about "out there." But this year, I think I'm going to ask the podiatrist to prescribe it while watching and testing for any liver changes..my doc seems ok with that. Still a bit concerned, but bf used this for only two weeks then stopped and he had more than one toe affected...went away in 2 wks, no problem since.
Mostly...I miss getting pedicures because of it!! Last one I had was in 2019. Sometimes it looked like it was mostly gone, (then I could get a pedicure), then it'd come back! I'm sick of it.
