I have had this for a long time, I had a laser treatment a few years ago. Podiatrist said to use Kerisal Nail Fungus and it really has not helped. The nail has broken off and pealed and it hurts. I wonder if anyone has has success with any other treatment? Thank you all

My mom's doctor recommended soaking her feet in a 50/50 mix of warm water and vinegar. It doesn't smell great but  seemed to help.

Re: Fungus on Toe Nail

[ Edited ]

My husband stepped on my big toe and cracked the nail in half.

I was devastated that this caused  a bad fungus infection.  It was awful.  The nail peeled in layers, was an ugly color of yellow and gray and lifted away from the nail bed.

I cut the nail as short as I could and applied a product called PIGGY PASTE fresh every day and kept the nail short and covered with a cloth bandaid. 24/7. I applied it to the the area where the nail was missing too.

I took about 8 months for the nail to completely grow out, but when it did, my nail was normal....no more ugly fungus and it never came back.

I bought the PIGGY PASTE AND BANDAIDS on Amazon.

I swear it 100% worked...had no bad order, didn't stain or sting.

P.S. I  wanted to mention that the paste will not cure the nail that already has the fungus.  It will kill the fungus and keep it from infecting the new growth.

I applied the paste and bandaid every day for the full eight months until there was no fungus evidence at all on my skin or nail.

You might want to go back to your podiatrist to see if there is something that can be prescribed to you.   Toe nail fungus is hard to get rid of because there are so many toe nail fungi out there.  Back in the summer I thought I had toe nail fungus, went to a podiatrist to discover I have a traumatic injury to both toe nails on the big toes.  Hope your toe nail heals!

@Carmie @I am still oxox    I had a similar incident.  My granddaughter ran over my big toe with a scooter...cracked the nail and got infected.  I used Fungi Cure for months and it helped.  It no sooner healed, and the other granddaughter ran over the same toe with a hoverboard.  🤦🏻‍♀️.    Once again I got an infection and used the same medicine for months.  It is healed, but is still sensitive.  I'm going to look for the Piggy Paste....just in case.  Plus I think I need to move a little quicker around the kids.  🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️.
