I got my Fitbit elsewhere, but have been using it for a couple of weeks now. Yes, it was tough to fasten. I measured it first on my wrist to figure out which holes to use. Then I "worked" the holes a little with a metal cuticle pusher before attempting to fasten it off my wrist. It fastened and unfastened a couple of times off my wrist before trying it on the wrist. It was still difficult, but not as bad as when I tried it right out of the box. I have only taken it off once to charge it so far. My average steps are a little over 6,000, but I am making an effort to get that amount. I have a desk job, so I get up a few times a day and take a brisk walk around the building. My employer has their yearly "On The Move" program going right now, so in order to earn the smallest Amazon gift card ($50), I have to average over 6,000 steps for the 6 week period. I am on a team with my co-workers too, so I don't want to drag the team average down. There are only 3 weeks left on the program, so I will need come to this club to keep going. Great idea!

Come on in LAlaland. Welcome! Sorry about my first response that didn't post...I am on my iPad.

Has anyone set up a activity group on the Fitbit community yet for all us new Fitbitters? And, if so, what is it called?

I don't think so Tricia. So far I believe everyone who's interested has been gathering here.

Benzgirl...thanks for your help on how to delete food logged on the computer! As far as how to log food on your phone...this is how I do it on my iphone: Go to your dashboard on the fitbit app...scroll down to: Calories eaten...tap and open that, then at the top of the page is a + sign...tap that, then go to the top to the search bar and enter your food. Hope that makes sense and helps! Smiley Wink

Hi all, it's inspiring to read what everyone is accomplishing and your enthusiasm is contagious. I am still waiting for my Fitbit to come. As of this morning it was in Memphis I think. Although in the past I have received Q packages and the order status will say "in process" still, so who knows, it may come in the next few days. I want to print out all these reply pages in case they do a webbie dissappear, so many great tips, advice and encouragement---thanks again Christine aka Benzgirl for starting this thread.

Grandmatobe.... Thanks for your help. I didn't realize that I could click on 'Calories Eaten' or that it would open to another screen. So glad that it does. When I'm out and about I won't need to worry about remembering to log a food when I get home. That was easy! Thank you. Smiley Happy

Re: Fit Bit Walker's Club....welcome in. :)

Took Cap for two long walks today and was able to end the day at 15K steps, yessss! I think he may need a break though because he was a little slower today than usual. I don't want him to burn his paw pads on the hot pavement and he won't walk on the grass. If we get up early enough tomorrow I will try an early morning walk with him, otherwise it will be just our normal pee walks and I'll have to go it alone.

Re: Fit Bit Walker's Club....welcome in. :)

Only made about 8900 steps yesterday. I did do some pressure washing late in the day, but that did not add many steps. I may have to take a day off from walking, my back is really hurting today. I will see if it improves any and walk this evening if it does. Kind of bummed about it.
