Vitamin D3 isn't harmless. It's neither a vitamin nor a supplement, it's actually a hormone.
VitD is fat soluble meaning it stores itself in your fat cells. Too much is toxic. Keep your labs up to date if you take very high doses.
This is one of those more is not always better things.

I really notice if I don't take B12....but many take huge amounts of supplements. I had a neighbor who took 30 different ones a day. She started having stomach pain and it got so bad her husband took her to the ER,,,,,ultrasound showed a huge mass of undigested vitamins and other supplements. She was taking more than her body could process. Had to have her stomach pumped.....not fun!
