I recently stopped taking vitamins and other supplements and have noticed that I feel and look a lot better without them. Anyone else like this?

Not me! I have noticed so much difference with the supplements I take.

Boy, I drag if I don't take mine!
I keep thinking which one/s can I really do without?
What were you taking, @LCR?
04-17-2018 05:07 PM
No me. I took a month off of everything and first started feeling it in my joints.
I added those back in first.

No way!

@LCR as most of you guys probably know, vitamins are not regulated by the FDA. They can have side effects toxic effects such as toxicity to the liver.
Also companies often make claims that simply are not true . . Even folks one may think is a reputable person, so a lot of folks thought initially with Dr Oz. Also you can never really be sure about the integrity of the product.. Wonder how much money Oprah, Dr Oz and Dr Phil made off of junk science and quackery. She is the reason for their rise to " fame" Although I suppose Dr Oz is still a cardiologist., he seems to have toned it down after having to testify befor Congress about making false claims about weight loss supplements. However, it forever tarnished his creditability.

Alternating -- on Mon., Wed and Fri, I would take a multi-vitamin/mineral supplement, fish oil, extra biotin (for hair, skin, nails), extra C and calciukm (for osteoporosis). On Tues., Thurs. and Sat., I'd take resveratrol, turmeric (for inflammation), special eye vitamins (for seniors), C and calcium. I'd take Sundays off. Doesn't seem like too much to me, but maybe it was.

No. I tried that once. Never again.

This is incorrect. Supplements are FDA regulated.

Supplements are a subcategory of the Food section. Supplements have their own set of regulations, different from the Food section.
