I confess, I probably did too much research on colonoscopies, since mine is on Thursday. I was worried about not being "all cleaned out" and facing having to do this all over again, so I started my liquid diet one day earlier, and low residue a day earlier than that. Apparently, that's the number one reason for the failure to get it done is people don't follow the protocol.
On my list, Jell-O is acceptable as long as it is not red or purple. And that is the same for anything else too, like Gatorade. I am drinking Gatorade because it has some electrolytes which will keep you from feeling weak.
I am staying away from sugar which makes me hungry and drinking diet Gatorade. For lunch I had bullion and apple juice. They seem to be pretty satisfying. It's going to be a long two days.

I just came from my colonoscopy doctor's office this morning. Her calendar is into October for the test. This will be my 5th colonoscopy with her. No openings sooner...
Good luck to anyone going,

After all these years one would think that they would have figured out a better way to cleanse the colon. The prep is definitely the worst part of the procedure.

@chrystaltree You can do it! All that you need to do is: continue to do the prep liquid, stay hydrated, stay near a restroom and watch your favorite tv shows the day before. The prep diet is all about mind over matter- I found that watching a few episodes of my favorite tv show would distract me from any discomfort that the prep diet was causing me. The procedure was quick and went very well and after it was over, I woke up in the recovery room and a very nice nurse gave me graham crackers and Canada Dry ginerale. I was so hungry and touched by being offered graham crackers and gingerale that my eyes filled with tears as I was eating them and I said, "these are the most delicious graham crackers and ginerale that I've ever had, thank you!" He smiled and came back with a bag full of graham crackers and cans of gingerale for me. So sweet! I'm rooting for you and you can do it! Lemon lime jello is delicious

This must be the week for colonoscopies. Mine is Thursday. I am eating all soft foods today and will have my clear liquids tomorrow. Like another poster, the only colors I have to stay away from are red and purple. I'm making a couple of big pans of orange Jell-O to have on hand for tomorrow and have chicken bullion ready to go. Other than Lifesavers, that's all I'll be eating tomorrow.
I've always had the old-fashioned prep and always been cleaned out. When my husband had his first colonoscopy three years ago, the doctor ordered the MiraLAX/Gatorade prep, and it did not clean him out well enough, but the doctor managed to get all the polyps out, and he is repeating his colonoscopy this fall. The doctor is going to order the old fashioned prep for him instead of the MiraLAX. Not sure why I've never had the easy prep, because I've never had any issues, but I'd rather have the gallon jug prep and be cleaned out, so I don't have to do it over again.

From what I've read the last couple of days, you're not drinking as much now, and it is being split up at the end of one day, and at the beginning of the next day of your procedure. And you don't have to chug it down, for each 28 ounces, you've got two hours to take it, and the next morning the second, 28 ounces. And they've thrown in a couple of Ducolax for insurance. Mine is this Thursday.

I am wondering if that's why they added the two Ducolax for good measure, and also that's the reason why I started a day earlier and will have two days of liquid diet. I had a friend who had so much trouble getting "cleaned out" that she had to have three days of liquid diet!

I just posted right above your post, and mine is this Thursday, too. And mine is the same way… Half tomorrow evening, half Thursday morning, and Dulcolax, as well.

@chrystaltree I am having a 3 year check in August because a polyp was found. I watch what I eat a good 4 to 5 days prior to testing.
I ate Luigi's lemon ice. It was great because it was actually spooning "food" and eating. Also Jello and clear juices.
I drank the tumblers of "prep" over ice slowly over time. I tried adding flavoring to one glass and it was awful. I am glad I didn't taint the whole batch. By midnight I was cleaned out and I went to bed. There was no way I was getting up at 3 in the morning and drinking another tumbler. The doc said I was totally cleaned out.
All the best to you. Yes, the prep is the worst part. Soon it will be behind you.
