Cold Preventives

Anyone use a cold preventive, such as the nasal swab they advertise on TV? (I don't now if I can give the brand name of a product.) If you have used one, did it work? Did it prevent getting a cold or just shortened the length of time of the cold?

I swear by oral zinc products taken at the very first signs of a cold. Sometimes, it feels like the cold never fully develops, other times the symptoms are just more mild and it doesn’t last long.

I have used the nasal swabs. Didn't get sick!

I have heard from friends and family that the nasal swabs work if you use when you feel a cold coming on. I can't use the swabs because of the meds I'm on, but I can use the oral and it works for me.

I take a tsp of manuka honey during flu season and extra vitamin d and c.We also take sambucas.

I'm a big fan of Andrew Lessman's Immune Factors.

I am also that crazy hand washer and I have really taught myself not to touch my face without washing my hands first or using wipe or squirt of EO antibacterial when I'm out.

I also sleep with a warm mist humidifier.
