I found organic Kinchi at Costco today in the refrigerator section... A huge container. I had heard of Kimchi but never had tried it before. It is so good for you! It is very low calorie, low carbs diet high in fiber, and very good for or your gut. Here is a good article on the benefits of eating a little kimchi everyday. It is pretty spicy, And a bit high in sodium, so that needs to be taken into consideration. But you do not need to eat very much to benefit from it...I just ate about a 1/4 cup that that was plenty

Kimchi is an acquired taste and I love it! It's what I craved when I was pregnant.

I grew up eating a lot of Japanese food, including some Korean food as well. My Japanese mom had her own kimchi recipe that was sooo good! She's gone now so I just buy kimchi from one of our local Asian markets here. I love the hottest ones.![]()

Our close friend loves kimchi. Everytime he visits us he has it. It is not sold where he lives. Awhile ago my husband bought some and mailed it to him. Well, kimchi has a distinct smell. His post office called him and told him it had just arrived and they needed him to come pick it up as it made the whole post office smell!

It's stinky stuff and if you eat it a lot then the smell will linger from your pores.

I like it. Korean sauerkraut...yummm.
it’ll clean you out, that’s for sure.

The only one I tried was from Costco’s so I don’t know about the others. Not for me. I couldn’t even suffer through it to get the acquired taste. I wanted to like it for the health benefits.

@SilleeMee Yes...like eating too much fresh garlic....I knew people who would put fresh garlic cloves into a blender and make a vegetable smoothie-every morning.... it was gross to smell them. They used too much garlic! Kimchi is not meant to be eaten in excess either.
