I find it unusual people are getting into a pitched frenzy over something that would very, very, very, very remotely affect them....all the while, they are living with the affects of Heart Disease, Obesity and/or Cancer. It doesn't make sense. Maybe someone needs to 'Ice Bucket' Ebola.

I remember in the early 80's when AIDS/HIV was becoming know and

the hysterics that followed.. I remember a family that was burnt to

death in their home because someone spread a rumor that one of

them in the house had AIDS

Perhaps we should all stock up on duck tape and tape ourselves inside our homes?

Ban travel in/out of Texas? That's the craziest thing I've heard so far. Hysteria @ its best. SMH

I'm genuinely surprised it took the forum's newest health & fitness scaremonger this long to start in on Ebola. Those who are delighted to inform "everyone" about worst-case scenarios and govt conspiracies/failures, have at it. LOL. I am an intelligent adult who works in the healthcare industry. I refuse to encourage the hysterical fringe.

In cyber space we do not know who we are talking too...

if they mean well or an operative...

I have been lies to too much form top to bottom in the last 10 years I trust no one but my common sense the good Lord gave me...

nothing in America is working anymore every thing is broken or falling apart. all the safety features we had in place have been dismantle its been going on for a very very long time...

Re: CDC: Ebola Worst-Case Scenario Has More Than 500,000 Cases

Ebola is treatable in our country, please don't forget that. Actually, most people do not die from the Ebola virus, but rather from the side effects such as diarrhea, vomiting, which leads to acute dehydration and electrolyte imbalance and such.

If you can treat the accompanying symptoms, you can eradicate the disease. The problem in third world countries is that they just don't have the proper medical care or personnel to do this.

Fresh water is vital to do this as well.

We don't have much to worry about. Just be aware of the symptoms and I think anyone in America would seek medical care if they were profusely bleeding from their skin, which is a big symptom.

Banning people is ridiculous.

We aren't discussing the bubonic plague here. lol !

perhaps the CDC better work a little harder on a protocol and communicate it to all hospitals because what happened in Dallas should never have happened. now kids have been exposed. that is no laughing matter.

If I were a health care worker I would have made it my business to know about this. There were countless notices by the CDC.
