Yes IMO all is fine -- no dental issues or complaints.
A 2nd opinion is a good idea but who knows I'll be convinced🤔 I need this work. (I'm not easy to part with my money unless I'm sure).
@homedecor1 I totally understand! 😶

About a month ago I went hoping to just get a cleaning and possibly a filling.
So much for that idea! It took 2 hours with all the different x-ray machines I had to move to. Then a lot of pokeing and probing.
After that in comes the doctor saying there are various things she would like to do,but over time.
Then came the lady from the billing area saying what all this would cost.
Oh and by the way, I then got an estimate which isn't free.
After all that time, I was finally on my way with a couple of booklets showing plans I could sign up for as to making payments.
I have dental insurance, so I had to pay the deductable for that office visit, but they were charged almost $300.00 and I still didn't get the cleaning and forget about that filling I was thinking about. Nothing was done except all of those x-rays.
Two hours spent in the office and nothing but an estimate! If I want my roof replaced, I get someone to come to my house and I get a FREE estimate. At the dentist office the estimate costs $300.00. Even some lawyers give a free consultation. They don't ask for a car payment.

Just curious???? Do u live in FL???
I always travel home so used my dentist there & figured time to get one here.
Not gonna be easy😉 all the private practices seem not to be taking new patients or bought up by these "strip mall dental centers".

I am sick and tired of dentists up-selling.
I just want my teeth cleaned nothing more.
I remember 25 years ago, I would go to my dentist for my annual check-up, and she would always push for me to get braces.
Now, I admit that my teeth are not perfectly straight, but I can eat just fine with the way that they are.
On one visit, she once again started pushing for me to get braces.
I had had enough.
I asked her, "Are you going to pay for them?"
Of course she said, "No".
I responded, "Then I'm not getting braces. Not now, not ever."
That shut her up.
The last dentist that I went to convinced me that I needed my amalgam (silver) fillings replaced.
Contrary to the myth, there is NO mercury in the fillings.
Hundreds of dollars and a sore mouth later, it finally dawned on me that I didn't need to have my fillings replaced.
I admit that I was 100% stupid on that.
I accept full responsibility for that.
But this is why I hate going to the dentist.
They always try to sell you **** that you don't need.

I wouldn't replace a crown unless it was broken. I am shocked that it costs $300 for a tiny replacement filling. which I put off as long as I could.

I found my new dentist by asking a few of my friends and family, who they use. That way I was able to find out how they do business. It worked well for me, so maybe ask around. Good honest dentists are out there!

First of all its a new hygienist and I assumed my own dentist would be there at least - well he wasn't - they hadn't told me I would be seen by a different dentist.
And - even tho they just saw me 4 months ago - now I need 3 fillings, should get a wisdom tooth removed, and I have a dry mouth so my roots are getting soft and are cavity prone.
If this had come from my own dentist it would be different. But I told them I would have him do two fillings but wanted to talk to him about the rest. They want to do fluoride treatments too.
Actually, the Cavitron wasnt as bad - she used a lower setting.
Why is it so stressful to go to the dentist?
Did your Dentist say how you had 3 cavities in 4 months?
I faithfully went to my dentist every 6 months. And my last visit he "discovered" a cavity. It was so bad that he said I would need root canal and a crown. I asked how I could have such a bad cavity in a formerly pristine tooth so quickly. He never answered my question.

For teeth cleaning, I actually prefer the Cavitron. I have to request it each time. It cuts way down on the manual scraping and digging I hate and makes cleaning go much faster. Thankfully, no gum sensitivity at all.
I don’t have any way to compare costs, but I feel he is expensive. He works alone.
@ Montana I have to ask , what us Cavitron ?
“A cavitron is a dental tool that uses high frequency sound waves to clean teeth. The Cavitron ultrasonic cleaner is a state of the art instrument that has proved to be an extremely successful tool in removing tartar from both above and below the gumline”

@Mary Bailey wrote:I work for dental insurance very eye opening
the first thing the dentist office when they call in how much benefits a person has left for the year, then they want history and replacement clause on plan. I think they just want to use up the patient's benefits even if they don't need it.
my friend works for a dental office, she told me they get monthly bonuses if they can up-sell (night guards, invisalin...etc)
Interesting to note I said "the crowns are $1850/each? Isn't this pretty high?"
Business Mgr. said "oh not really this is the fee we charge patients with insurance" ...
I said "isn't this illegal to charge a insurance vs. private pay different prices?"
She said " no, in your case your insurance pays 50% so you only pay 1/2 of our insurance fee". A private non insured patient fee is higher to absorb the difference".
Right there I scratched my head.
I called this office today to tell them I want a predetermination of benefits from insurance company before I make a decision to return to them. Told me it could take 3-5 weeks..ok I'll wait🙄🤔
Funny thing, I called 3 different dentists today based on friends recommendations. As soon as I answered I had dental insurance they advised I'd first have to come in for "treatment consultation". It's not like I'm having a hip replacement just a dental cleaning🤔😡
Doesn't surprise me what they do! I'm heading home for the month of August at this point I'll just go to my own dentist ...at least if he says my teeth are a disaster then I'll proceed.
Aggravating🤬🤬🤬
