Re: Andrew Lessman secure Bars

Thanks @qvcaddition for your review. I almost purchased them. The reason I didn't was because of the serving size. I don't eat these types of bars as meal replacements very often. One time per week on average. I didn't like that I would have to save the other half. As much as I like Lessman products, I doubt he packaged them to save paper and the environment.

It's kind of deceptive to me. It reminds me of the Butterfinger candy bars. Now, I don't eat them and haven't in probably 20 years but..... there are 2 Butterfinger bars per a normal package, however, there are 3 servings per package. How the heck are you to determine how to eat just one serving?!?!?!? NOT! The idea is to eat the entire package and feel like you are consuming one serving.

I definitely would have purchased these bars if it was packaged for just 1 serving. Glad they tasted good. I'm interested in trying but I will wait for repackaging, if he ever does it that way.

Re: Andrew Lessman secure Bars

I also love them and yes, Andrew did mention cost as being a reason for making a 2-serving bar. He mentioned in the future making smaller bars. I will consume a whole bar for a meal replacement and I do find them delicious and filling. I had been ordering the Built bars from the Built website but I swear they're shrinking over time. One bar is about as long as a finger and not much bigger in width. They also cost more than the AL bars. I plan to only use AL bars going forward.

@cjm61  I felt similarly.  I didn't want to buy a 2 serving bar and eat half.  I also had doubts that half a bar would be filling enough (for a meal, anyway - probably fine as a snack).   I did hear Andrew say they would package them smaller in the future, so I'll possibly think about it then.  Like you, I don't see myself eating these as a meal very often and like @JeanLouiseFinch I would typically rather just eat real food.  But if you're on the go, traveling, or just want a healthy snack they might be a good option.

I ate a whole one at one and still not hungry and I have been very busy today with exercise, going to KP for a CT scan and taking Melanie my dog for a two mile walk. This is in addition to my 2mile treadmill and 5mile stationary bike.

Tonight I don't know what time I will have dinner. Not hungry yet and it is 4PM pac. time.  Having polenta with home made Italian sauce with Italian pork sauage.  I may just have yogurt.

So a whole bar will fill me up.

Thanks for your comments and I love the Italian name. I figure you guessed I am pure Italian.  Although my grandmother who raised me was from Northern Italy and didn't consider me Italian because my Father was from Sicily.  The North and South didn't get along.  I got the cooking from the best of both worlds.

I've been looking for a good tasting meal replacement bar for a long time.  I just ordered 6, fingers crossed that I'll like them as much as you do.

I have to say, they are delicious.  It is a meal replacement and a new item.  He said,  half of one bar is a meal replacement, but so good, it is hard to eat just a half.

They are everything he said.  I got six of the choc . Brownie Almond crunch and six of the peanut butter choc chip.

Got all the good stuff in them, and none of the bad.

Look them up if interested.  I will buy again.

@qvcaddition @Dang. These sounded like just what I needed to give to my husband to help him use as a snack to gain weight. I watched Andrew's video and the only problem is they all contain whole pieces of nuts. My DH can't have pieces of nuts because of

diverticulosis. Dang. Everyone of the reviewers raved about them and they don't contain the nasty ingredients in Ensure and Ensure Plus. Anyway, thank you for posting about them here.

Not suppose to gain weigh unless maybe if a person not active.  I will not eat everyday, but I am very active.

I just got over covid, so I lost some weight because I didn't feel like eating and that is what prompted me to order.

They are very tasty, like a good desert. I don't eat cake or cookies, but I better watch it on these for a few days and go back to my secure pwd, almond milk and blueberry drink.

Thank for that little tid bit.

Re: Andrew Lessman secure Bars

I agree, they are delicious. The first one I tried was the peanut butter. The peanut butter was more intense than in other peanut butter bars and very fresh. Half a bar satisfied my hunger. Today, I tried the coconut cookie crunch and that was very good too. I look forward to trying the chocolate brownie next. For me, they are a winner. Hope Andrew puts them on A/D eventually.

I love the peanut butter the best.  I found in the last couple days, that a 1/2 for breakfast and the other 1/2 for lunch has satisfied me.  I also noticed more energy.  I love them.

Going to get a couple more boxes, because they said we couldn't get them the rest of the year.

Ha,  noticed Adam went off camera with his half.

My elderly son, who doesn't like anything, took one bar I gave him to eat when he is on the golf course.  Texed me last night and said, Order him a box. Loved it.
