@HappyDaze I'll try to nutshell it but from what I gather reviews help determine which products/kits air.  If a relatively new item doesn't get a lot of reviews we might not see it again ie. mens hair control texture paste.  Also reviews can help bring more of what we love at better values.

ETA - I have been asking and asking for super size NBT so I think more reviews will help make that a reality.

Re: wen - to leave-in or not to leave-in LOL!

[ Edited ]

I have not a lot of baby fine, porous, easily damaged hair that was in horrible shape when I first started using Wen. My hair loved Wen from the very first cleanse. Smiley Happy

That said, because my baby fine hair was so very damaged, I could barely use any Wen leave-in products on it. At the time my hair was shoulder length. As a leave-in, I could only put 1/4 to 1/3 pump of CC (from a 16oz bottle) and barely 1/4 pump of Styling Creme (SC) in my hair. More than that would weigh my hair down. I think it also helped to make it more greasy more easily (probably because my hair was so porous and damaged).

I wanted to mention this because i think other folks who are new to Wen (especially if they have baby fine hair) may have a similar experience. -- So once your pre-Wen hair starts growing out, you may want to experiment with using more Wen leave-in. Smiley Happy

Over the next few years, as my pre-Wen hair grew out, I noticed that I was able to slowly increase the amount of leave-in products.

Right now, I my hair is about 8 inches below my shoulders. -- As Chaz recommends, I always add my leave-in to my hair while I'm still in the shower and my hair is dripping wet.

I can easily use 1 pump of 613 CC (from a 16oz bottle) and I'll probably experiment with using more. Smiley Happy I always use the 613 "Wen on steroids" CC for my leave-in because Chaz puts more of his wenderful 11 amino acid complex in it... and my hair would be very happy to have an IV drip of his amino acid complex. Smiley Happy

Then I add about two and a half pumps of Styling Creme (SC) because I air dry my hair (with my portable desk fan). While I get the best results with 613 SC, these days I use any SC because I have a five year supply (thanks to the TSVs *s*). -- Until last year, I had only been using one pump of SC as a leave-in. The Chaz mentioned on periscope that people who air dry their hair should use more SC as a leave-in and, of course, he was right. Smiley Happy

My last step is to add the marvelous Moussie moo. I used to skimp on my Moussie moo  (4-6 pumps) because it had not been available in Moussie moo duos, or trios. -- But now that I have my Moussie moo trio, I've experimented with it and even Moussie Mooed to the max with about 30 pumps. Smiley Wink -- At this point, 10-12 pumps of Moussie moo gives me my best results. -- The 613 and Bamboo Green Tea (BGT) Moussie moos each give my hair even more shine because they have that special French shine complex (lactic acid, citric acid, malic acid, lemon peel and sugar) in them. Re: wen - to leave-in or not to leave-in LOL!

Thick, slightly wavy, chin-length, layered, fairly normal hair here. If I use more than a nickel-sized amount of CC as leave-in, my hair looks greasy. Also, if I use that "nickel" for more than 3-4 days in a row, my hair starts to feel "coated". When I do use it, I mix it with my usual 2 pumps of Glossing Serum, 1-2 pumps of Styling Creme, and 10 sprays of a mix of RTM/VTS.

Maybe mixing it with everything else is the problem, but I just don't have time in the morning to add each item to my hair and work it in one at a time.

Yes, to leave-in. I've been using leave-in conditioner since I was in high school in the 80s. Smiley Happy

I also write reviews for many of the items I've purchased. I go through new items and if I see a new configuration of an item I have (e.g.: I have a 32-oz bottle of a seasonal and now there's a 16-oz trio of the same formula), I will sometimes write a review on that, too.

@ChynnaBlue oh the 80's!! I remember using Infusium 23 on my hair.  I really need to take some time to write more reviews.

YES! I went through an Infusium 23 phase, too! So funny, @bruingirl. I went through a Nexxus phase, too. That stuff smelled so good.

I have (had) straight, fine, oily, long-ish hair (past my shoulders) and I never used any kind of leave-in products until about a year and a half ago. I thought the very idea of putting leave-in conditioner in my straight, fine, oily hair was the height of insanity! Well, I finally tried it and lo and behold, I find myself with lots of volume and waves! It's the most bizarre thing, but I'm sold. I use two pumps (16oz) of CC as my leave-in, then three pumps of SC and about a dozen pumps of mousse in soaking wet hair then air dry. It's really quite amazing the results I get. My family can't believe it either.

Now I'm curious to try the new beach wave product and see what happens.

@aprimo yay for leave-in!!! I think you will love the texturizing treatment spray...the volume it gives my hair lasts until I cleanse again.

For my hair, the leave in is a requirement not an option.

Thank you, @bruingirl.

My hair is kind of like Audrey II from "Little Shop of Horrors", except my hair says "Wen me" not "feed me".

@bebe777 what is the difference you see in your hair from using more SC than you use to with air dryed hair? I also air dry 99% of the time. I use about 1 pump SC. Thanks.
