Thank you! I'm a bit self-conscious of taking selfies without a full face of make-up, though. I like to be "put together" as my mama used to say.

You look so cute!
I'm debating cutting my curly hair different. It's driving me nuts what to do with it with my morning walk in this humidity. I sure don't want to have to wash and style every single day. My hair is long now. My curls can be great before I walk and then they look a disaster when I'm done. Something has to give.

I was born & raised in Houston, so I hear you about the humidity. Since you have long hair, can you put it up in a bun for your walk? I have NO idea if that will work, but it's just a thought. I find the styling cream helps tame frizz. With my perm I could probably get away with an extra pump, but I haven't tried it yet.

I grew up in Houston too. Now I live just south of Houston. I have tried every updo. Problem is I have to redo my hair because as you know containing the curls wilts them and they never look the same. I tried wearing one of those silky gaiters and it helps with some smooshing but I look so weird with it on. I not terribly vain but I don't want to look like a complete weirdo. I'm even going to try loads of conditioner, leave in and a light gel and see if just letting it frizz is better. Right now using a lot of product makes it feels so gross after the walk. And if I rewet it it really feels sticky and gross. You'd think curls and humidity would be a perfect match.

I was raised in the Sagemont area (early 70's-mid-80's), if you're familiar with that area. My brother lives in Dickinson, so we try to visit him once a year at least. We were actually there last February before all hell broke loose. We plan to go visit him later this year. A 7 1/2 hour flight to IAH is a long-ass flight to have to wear a mask. ☹️

Yes I lived in Beverly Hills which was maybe a mile away. What a small world. I bet we went to the same high school. I won't say where but we had to have. I think we're very close in age too.
Yes 7 hours is a very long flight. I couldn't wear a mask
for that long. I feel anxious, hot and claustrophobic wearing a mask for just a short time.

Very small world! I was on the Beverly Hills Mustangs drill team when I was a little girl. We moved to Sageglen when I was in the 6th grade, which was not in PISD, so we didn't go to the same high school. The good ole' days!
