Glad it's working for you! I can't use it alone because it was way too drying for me. I can use it on my scalp if I follow up with Fig, but even then I find it takes another Fig wash to get my hair back to where I was before I used the CA. It's the same with Bamboo Green Tea for me.

Very interesting thread.  I was always under the impression that CA was drying.  I only tried the travel packet and may consider purchasing this in a 16 oz. size.  Although, I still have a stash of Wen that I have to use first.

Susan, I'm not listening to reviews anymore.  I almost missed out on FTP, which is great for my hair and now I've tried CA very late in the game.

All based on reviews!

HoneyBrown, I'm glad you had good results with CA!! Smiley Happy

I have thin/fine hair porous hair that is probably somewhat naturally on the dry side. My hair has no natural body to it.

When I finally purchased a CA TSV, I worried that it would dry out my hair but it didn't. The results are similar to what I get when I use TT.

CA works just fine for me. I use it every few months .just because it's supposed to be more clarifying. Honestly, I don't notice any difference with CA than with any of the other CCs (from a clarifying perspective), but I just do it anyway. I mean, why not? Smiley Happy

The one CC that does dry out my hair a bit is LAV. Clearly the witch hazel isn't the culpit (both CA and LAV have it). Unfortunately, I think the lavender extract is the culprit which is a shame because chaz uses the expensive, wonderful South of France lavender. I gift the LAV to a good friend and borrow some from her to use as body lotion.

Hi bebe!!!

CA is very similar to TT for my hair as well.  I am really surprised by the moisture!  I mean I cleansed this morning and my curls are still plump.

My hair likes LAV, but sparinglingly.  It makes me look like a poodle that jumped in the dryer during a thunderstorm if I use it too much.

BGT is the one that made my hair go nuts.  It was si dry.  It took me a long time to even use the SC after that.

I have been using CA exclusively for first cleanse (and sometimes both cleanses) for over a month now and I even ordered 2 gallons. I use the oils every night and I LOVE this for taking the oils out. I'm shocked by how much I love it...

nolimits, I'm pleasantly surprised by this CC.

Did the other CCs you used prior to CA not take the oils out?

Honney, did you scalp feel any cleaner after you used CA, or did it feel pretty comparable to other formulas? I know you said it wasn't drying, which is awesome, but I was wondering if you felt appreciably cleaner. Thanks!

yis, my scalp felt like I used TT or Fig with the tingle of the second cleanse.  I don't have a way of associating a clean feeling, other than the fact that I just cleansed.  So it felt the same as if I used FTP, or Pantene Curly shampoo.

I had dry hair when I first started using Wen and used CA, it didn't have enough moisture for my hair though. I don't agree with the claim it's for oily scalp and dry hair. That's what I had before Wen and it wasn't the right CC for me. I did much better with TT and Fig then.

Hi jaxs!  Prior to using FIG, my hair was desert dry.  I used Fig for a year or two and my hair is now normal, but on the dry side.

TT and (hopefully) CA both offer enough moisture for my hair.

I read CA was for oily scalp and dry hair, which isn't me.  That was another reason why I didn't think it would work for me.

YAY! So glad to see someone else enjoys CA! It is often considered the "underdog" for core formulas. I know TT is normally best for scalp issues however I have found with my scalp the CA is much better in terms of cleaning and keeping psoarsis at bay. Plus the scent is much more managable IMO compared to TT.Cat Embarassed

ChynnaB!

I'm going to find my hair's CA threshold by using it exclusively until I can't.

Don't get me started on BGT.  That formula made my hair go bat dump crazy.  And I loved the fragrance, so I would have very long cleansing sessions.  And then, if I tried to use another formula with it (ie, first or secon cleanse), the other formula would work the opposite way.

Couldn't use BGT on my hair either, but my face loves it with Clarisonic. Too dry on my hair.

I've been using CA as my 1st cleanse and either POM or 613 as my 2nd. My scalp tends to be a bit oily but my hair, and especially the ends, tends to be dry. Plus my hair is fine.

I love CA and apparently so does my hair! I find that it balances my hair and scalp beautifully, and I've really been enjoying it! 😃
