There are so many great restaurants in nyc. They seem to be taking you to typical tourist restaurants. On your time off go into restaurants off your tour. Much better. I hate to say this, being a lover of New York, but keep your possessions close and do not take any valuable jewelry. Too bad you cannot see a Broadway show, my favorite NY thing to do. Have fun.

They take us where they can accommodate a large group.
I usually wear a crossbody and wear my wedding ring and earrings. That's it. It's dangerous anywhere especially if you let your guard down. Same here at home.

@OKPrincess   You might consider skipping something on your itinerary to see a show. Matinees are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Seeing a show at night would be complicated by your hotel being in NJ, thirty minutes outside of Manhatten. Complicated, but not impossible.

     This is an excellent idea.  Also, since lunch is on your own I suggest Blue Fin.I was there in May with my best friend, our annual girls trip to NYC.  8th time we've gone, only interrupted by Covid.  We stumbled on it and it was excellent.  We liked it so much , we went back for our last nights dinner.  Another great meal.  Have a great time.  I love visiting NY, obviously.  😄

WOW! You will have a very busy, but definitely a wonderful time in NYC!

It is certainly a destination that must be experienced to be fully understood.

I have traveled up to the city many times just for the day to go shopping, so I know how much walking is required, but I think you may just do some drive-bys on your bus.

I also want to add that I do not think going to a Broadway play in NYC is that critical anymore, since so many plays now travel all the country.  Traveling to see landmarks specific to the city is much more special--there is nothing like the Statue of Liberty up close.

I do recommend Radio City Music Hall at the holidays, and I agree with everybody else how special the city is with all the decorations, but it also becomes extemely busy and quite expensive, and the wind whipping through the skyscrapers can make for a chilly experience.

Enjoy your tour, and make sure to get some selfies in Times Square, etc.

Re: NYC Bus Trip last week of July 2023

It is predictably hot in NYC in July so plan your clothing.

Also, the smoke from the Canadian fires seem to be off and on.

If you are in a vunerable health group consider a mask for outdoors.

If I had a short time for a first trip to nyc, I would not spend 1 1/2 hours in a resturant. There are too many things to see and do.

I'm the most excited about the Statue of Liberty.

@newjerseygirl  How cute. Ok so I'm a jerk 😊

Yes are leaving Tulsa in the morning for Kansas and the buses roll out Wednesday morning for the east coast. According to the itinerary we get to Edison NJ Friday night. I'll post w/pics when I can. Can't wait. 🥳
