I was recently in a store where they had all of the Dyson fans set up blowing full speed (one after the other).

I was not impressed with them at all. I don't mind paying money for something if it is worth it, to me these were not worth it.

The reason I have so many of the other fans is mainly because I can adjust so many things on them. I also agree that if you want a full room fan....don't buy these. These are mainly for someone who wants to control everything about the air and wants it blowing right on them.

If you want a room fan then go buy a room fan (one that is bigger for sure).

I think (as is mostly the case) you get what you pay for. $40 for a fan (in my opinion) is not equivalent to a whole room fan.

But that's just me.

I had a similar version of the TSV that I've had for a couple of years. I've never been happy with it. It just didn't put out must air. Eventually I got tired of the lackluster performance and the fact that it was impossible to clean. So I bit the bullet with the recent TSV for the Dyson Air Multiplier. I'm THRILLED with my Dyson. And I know I'm not blowing dusty air back into the room.

I have the one that was sold a few years back and use it every night. I like mine very much. Set the timer and go to sleep. Works great.

I had a previous model that I bought from QVC and it hardly blew any air around. I replaced it with a Vornado and love it. Also, $10 for shipping really increases the cost.

I agree with your above comments. I had one like this and it was a complete waste of money. It did not blow any cool air--in fact it died on me and I threw it away. I would go to a local store and get one that really worked---not this.

A regular room fan won't blow cool air unless the air in the room is cool, in which case you probably wouldn't feel the need to turn on the fan in the first place. These fans are only designed to circulate the room's air. If you want/need cool, you need to get an air conditioner or swamp cooler.

Well a fan is only going to blow the air that is in the room. If it is hot in your house, the fan will blow hot air around. If you have an AC and want to blow cool air around, then a fan is good

I have ceiling fans throughout the house. I purchased three of these to put in front of te three a/c's I have in the windows, hoping that these fans will help circulate the a/c air even further. It's an older home (65yrs. old) and has large rooms and kinda open, so hoping these fans will help spread the cool air around.

A fan is better than nothing when you have no air conditioning. I could not survive summer without my six fans!

It did not even circulate the cool air. You had to stand right in front of it to see if it was working.

I have several of them and I like them. Everyone is different.
