Re: QVC needs to tell when the TSV is a discontinued item

That's probably the case with many electronics they sell.

It definitely is.  A number of years ago DH and I were looking for a Blu-Ray player.  We researched on-line and told DH for the heck of it to check QVC.  The model Q was selling was an old, outdated model.

This has been an issue with cameras as well.

Anytime anything is at a SuperBargain Price and the host states they bought everything the manufacturer had, that's a clear indication it's old and outdated merchandise.

This just makes QVC look slimy and untrustworthy like a used car salesman or a window salesman...... Buyer BEWARE!

Re: QVC needs to tell when the TSV is a discontinued item

The problem with buying a discontinued item like a Fitbit is that many companies practice what is called "forced obsolescence". I had an older version Fitbit that synched great with the app on my phone and it would automatically record when I went running. Then that feature along with several others was pulled from the app for my version and soon it wasn't good for much.  Companies do this to force you to get the newest model.

@SXMGirl  Stores and other retail outlets do not sell customers electronics that are discontinued without informing them.  Home Shopping channels do this on a regular and it is just wrong.  I learned how HSC's do things a long time ago regarding electronic's and will always buy my mine from licensed retailers which HSC's are not.

Re: QVC needs to tell when the TSV is a discontinued item

@dale46  EXACTLY!!!  I get that people don't want to believe they have been duped or whatever but we know what we are talking about.  To those who bought it, check the exact model number and go online to FitBit's website or any website and try to find it.  The FitBit Blaze may look the same or even have the same name but it is NOT the same item.  Hopefully, those who purchased it also bought the extended warranty because FitBit will not fix it if something goes south on it.  When I want to buy discontinued electronic's I go to Lot-Less and get great items (popular name brands too) at awesome prices.  That's being in the know and I like it like that.  LOL.

@dale46  I wouldn't hold Fitbit to blame.... QVC is the one that made the purchasing deal with them for the TSV.  They knew what they were buying.  They (QVC) CHOSE not to inform the customers.
