Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

Well, I guess now we'll know that if a size or color is limited at midnight, that QVC didn't order as much of that color or size.

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

Thanks for this information.  I have been a QVC shopper from almost their beginning.  For most of their existence the TSV was not made available until the day of, so this, to me, is going back to normal.  Also, there was a time where any discussion of an upcoming TSV was posted on these forums, like if someone had inside info for example, not only was the post removed, but sometimes you were banned from further posting.

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

Thank you QVC. Hopefully, as mentioned, it becomes "truly, a one-day special deal that we won't want to miss". And, "better deals" and "more unique products". I received the email and have high hopes that they can hold up to our expectations.

Next, make the lunchtime specials also a one-day, 4-hour event with better sales and better variety, not the same ones day after day.

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

You'd think, in offering it early, they routinely ran out of the product.  How are they going to get rid of the dogs that don't sell or are returned.  Offer them again as a TSV a few months later?

Re: Email from QVC re change to TSV

It seems like they're trying out a variety of new ideas--except perhaps new, quality products.  I wouldn't mind if they started getting more innovative products and less of them for a one day TSV.

There are so many "specials" now:  Online only, Today Only, This Show Only, Big Deal...and on and on.  They don't say that those won't continue to be offered for several days at a time.

I suppose what they don't sell of the TSV will be like anything else that doesn't sell--it will continue to be offered at various price points.

What they didn't mention in that email was whether or not they were going to continue to send emails about the TSV in advance, but you just wouldn't be able to order in advance.  Or maybe they want to create a "buzz" on their social media sites about what the items may be.

Whatever the case, the only thing I do know is that soon there will be a bunch of people mad about this new decision to go along with all the other stuff people are mad about now.

It worked before so what's to say it won't work again.  Some will like it, some won't but you can't please everyone, especially on these boards.

Oh my yes, they used to create a veritable frenzy about their TSV, keeping it top secret and for one day only, and poor east coasters would sit up to see what proverbial gems were to be on offer. The problem is, I can't remember the last time I was honestly excited about a TSV. I don't for a moment think limiting the length of its availability, or trying to capture a moment that frankly is lost in time, by assuming they can create buzz over merchandise, is going to pan out for them. I can also guarantee you that the days of sitting up to see what Ripka or Dooney was going to offer are so long gone they're vapors..
