I bought one pair of Ryka's years ago and found it not very cushioned or supportive. Maybe it has changed since then but based on many of the comments in here, doesn't sound like it has changed for the better.

 

Hoka was recommended to me and it has been great. Not cheap (but in the ballpark of most major quality brands out there) but well constructed and far superior and worth the cost for me.
