I wanted to see it so much but now that I've read how untrue it is I have no desire. It's so bad, read about it. They have him telling the band at Live Aid that he had AIDS -- he was not diagnosed with AIDS until two years later. Horrible that the band would do this, I've read they were jealous well he was the real talent in Queen and they are bitter.
@LoriLori not sure where you are getting your info, or your age, but even in the movie, it does not say he died of aids.
it said he died of broncial puenmonia related to aids. if you remember when the first aids cases were being reported, there was alot of misconseptions about the disease. it's his story, and a movie, not a documentary. movie was great, i may see it again.
Of course he died of AIDS. And he didn't deny having it. But he didn't have it when they show him at Live Aid saying he had it. He wasn't even diagnosed yet. Where I'm getting my age? From my birth certificate!...
...Anyway if you read about it, it is not his story which is why Sacha Baron Cohen quit the movie. It is the story told by his bitter bandmates. They even have Freddie going solo and leaving the band. Nope. Two others went solo first.
As for his death, this is from 1991:

As for all the things in the movie that are not true just Google it, it's all over. Why would I want to see someone whose music I loved trashed posthumously and his life rearranged to the benefit of his bitter bandmates?.
