I caught the end of it. Very odd that NO ONE has seen him in years... I do hope he is alright, but I wonder if he is alright, because he is the type of person that thrives on connection with others-

Skygirl21, It's so strange how he suddenly retired & dropped out without letting his fans know he was planning to retire. One of his last public apperiences was on the Howard Stern show. He was trying to launch a new program to help children & teens lose weight. Howard said some very cruel things to Richard & he wouldn't let Richard talk about what he came there for. Which was as always, helping others. Richard ran off the show. He disapeared soon after that. I can't help but think Howard Stern helped drive Richard into a deeper depression. Richard had reciently lost his beloved last dalmation, which he had for many years. He really needed some compassion at that vunerable time in his life.

@Skyegirl21

According to the documentary, the opposite is true. Richard is really an introvert who enjoys being alone.

His over the top behavior was just an act.

Plus, he's in constant pain because of his bad knee and his refusal to have another surgery.

I just happened on it last night as it was starting.  During one of the breaks I thought to myself that I just assumed he had passed away and I missed the announcement of it.  I had no ideal he had done the "Greta Garbo."   Richard gave more of his heart and than I ever knew.  I always enjoyed watching him.

deeva, I'm not aware of the documentary. Could you please tell me how to find it? I'd really like to watch it. If he really is an introvert, he sure did a good job of hiding it.

@Sweet Kitties

It was a TMZ production, so I don't know if it's available for streaming. TMZ is carried on our local Fox channel.
