Fans of Newhart will probably recognize these words!

I loved this show when it was on, and I recently watched the second episode online after reading an article about it. 

I was surprised to learn almost everyone in the main cast has passed away. Julia Duffy (Stephanie)  is still living, as are William Sanderson (Larry), Tony Papenfuss (Darryl #1), and John Voldstad (Darryl #2). 

Last December Larry and the Darryls reunited for an interview. They talked about how they were cast, their relationship with each other, and their relationship with Bob Newhart. They also discussed their favorite episodes and the show's ending.

 I learned a lot about them. If you want to read the interview it's on cracked.com.

Now I want to watch all of the episodes!

that was a great show. bob newhart was a classic old school comedian. I saw julia duffy, in a show, not that long ago. she has aged well. the three brothers were perfect with each other.

Newhart was never my favorite show even though I liked both Bob Newhart and Mary Frann. I also thought Julia Duffy was delightful. More focus on them would have been great.

The cast just grew too big. The three Daryl's were tedious but Tom Poston's character particularly annoyed me. I lost interest and quit watching.

Loved the show! Bob Newhart was so talented. I catch reruns sometimes somewhere on my TV but never know where they are since I usually channel surf and don't know the channel where I find the show. Now I want to make an effort to relocate it.

One of my favorite sbows!  Love, Love, Love Bob Newhart!!!!!!

Loved this show.  Have the box set.  One of my favorite characters was  Michael, played by Peter Scolari.  He spoke in alliterations, and loved tv and nice clothes!

See if you can watch Attention WPIV Shoppers episode Season 6 Ep 18.  Absolutely hilarious as ****** and Stephanie are home shopping channel hosts.

Another favorite is Take Me to Your Loudon Season 6 Ep 7.  Has to do with Halloween and aliens.  Jim and Chester are very funny as the rest of the cast.

Bob Newhart didn't like the way the show was going in the first 2 seasons and you'll see remarkable changes starting in Season 3.

If you start watching all the episodes check back in would love to hear what you think!  Don't be discouraged if you find it not great in the first 2 seasons as mentioned it changes and for the better season 3.

Well, I just had a shocker @beach-mom .  I was certain that Peter Scolari (Julia Duffy's love interest on the show) was still alive.  Looked him up and found that he passed away in 2021 at the young age of 66!  

I liked the show very much when it was on and always got a kick out of Larry, Daryl and Daryl!

Mary Frann was so beautiful!
