Man. I didn't realize there were that many movies ! I liked David Suchet better then Peter Ustinov.  I went on amazon and ordered that older movie with Bette Davis, David Niven in it. Class actors.

checked the library and put on hold the whole series of like 4 seasons when I guess it was on TV. Suppose to be like 8 discs /12hrs. Be good for another snowy , cold stuck in the house day. Refreshing to watch movies

that don't have profanity ,  s*x scenes, etc.

@SharkE  I agree that David Suchet was the best. I was glued to the tv every week when the series was on.

I'm going to look for the version with Peter Ustinov to watch first (actually again).

Evil Under the Sun with Ustinov and a stellar cast from that same time period is a favorite. Very over-the-top and fun, despite some uncomfortable bits of dialogue.

@GingerPeach   Peter Ustinov was my favorite for this movie -- I loved it.  In addition, everything you said here is exactly how I feel as well.

I love everything Agatha Christie, so I was excited to see the new movie version of Murder on the Orient Express in the theater a few years ago.  What a huge disappointment!  I thought Kenneth Branaugh was horrible, from his accent to his crazy mustache and soul patch beneath.  The film writers changed many events from the book and were not true to the character of Hercule Poirot.  I left the theater so angry!  I will not be seeing Death on the Nile, since I so disliked the previous film.  David Suchet has excellent versions of both of these books on the Poirot tv series.

I saw it last Saturday. I was so ready to get back to the movies. I enjoyed it. The theatre was pretty crowded so I guess a lot of folks are hungry for movies shown in the theatre. I was surprised to learn that it was not filmed in Egypt but in the UK. loved the costumes.
