Sometimes I have as many as 27 or 30 notifications.  Some are just hearts but some require additional comments (or where I need to read the alerts to me).

The problem?  Well, when I click on the beginning of the 27 or more, they ALL turn the same color.  This makes it more difficult to figure out where it ends.

I'm sure it would be possible that as we click onto each notification it turns dark while the one's we haven't clicked on stays the same color.

This would make it eas(ier) for us to see where the NEW notifications end.  It would make it eas(ier) for us to stop reading them, go do something else and come back to those we haven't gotten to yet.

I don't know if I've explained myself very well, but hopefully the powers that be understand what I'm trying to say.

I enjoy the back and forth between everyone.  I learn a lot here on the forum.  I like to pride myself that I'm open to new ideas.

However, it's difficult to click on the first notification, leave, then remember where I was when I closed out or just went away from the computer for awhile.

My husband was a systems analyst and (based on the tiny bit I remember (from him) way back when; it wouldn't take much to do this to the forum.

I realize it isn't a big deal to some.  However, to myself (and probably some) it would make life easier if this would happen.

The way I figure.  If someone takes the time to respond to a post I made (pro, con whatever), I'd like to be able to either just read it or respond.  It becomes difficult when I go back and look and all of the posts look the same color (which would appear that I'd read every one of them when in actuality I did not).

Re: Suggestion on Notifications

@Annabellethecat66

I often wondered the same thing.

I agree with your suggestion.

Re: Suggestion on Notifications

@butterfly123   I hope this post stays alive because if it does, more people will respond.

As more people respond, maybe QVC will take the suggestion.

It's always been my observation that things get done when a large number of people want the same thing....or don't want it!  Ha!

Thanks for responding.  Have a wonderful daySmiley Happy

Re: Suggestion on Notifications

@Annabellethecat66 sorry to add to your workload, but i solved this, at lest for me.  i click starting on the bottom but with a right click, and open a new window or tab.  when i am done, i close that window or tab and go to the next notification from the bottom, and repeat until i'm done.  hope this helps.

Re: Suggestion on Notifications

I cannot see notificaitons.  I get a message telling me that I have to start a post in order to see them.  It seems that the Q tech department needs serious help.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: Suggestion on Notifications

@NYCLatinaMe  Well, it does (help).  However, if I understand what you're saying, I'd have quite a few windows open.

The problem?  Well, I do so much researching as I post bla bla(s).  (Who's surprised on that one).  I keep the window of the research open so I can keep referring back to it (bad memory these days).

That means I have a lot of windows open to start with.  Sometimes it gets down right stupid how many windows I have open.

Often, I have to go back and shut some of them down.  I used to have a much better memory and didn't have to do that.

Unfortunately, I know a lot of useless information but screw it up and remember bits and pieces.  It drives my family crazy (well my daughters).

I just have a real love for all kinds of information (most of it useless) I just wish I could remember it better these days.

Thanks for the info.  Heart

Re: Suggestion on Notifications

@Annabellethecat66   i don't click the red notifications square, only hit it accidentally at least once a year or so, so it's a while since I've seen how that list works. But I thought if you click the individual notifications from the bottom up they didn't all change color at once.

     No?

Sorry if I'm remembering wrongly.

@Annabellethecat66 only 2: the one with the lisr, and the one you opened with a right click.  I close the one I right clicked on as soon as I am done reading and responding where appropriate, and go back to the window with list.
