I've been paying my bills on line for years with NO fee of any kind.

A lot of people mail in payments because they aren't comfortable with their personal information being on-line and out there for anyone and everyone to potentially get ahold of.  But that's not the point of this thread either.

Most companies tell you if you are going to mail in a payment, you need to allow 10 days for the payment to get to them.  There are times that envelopes get lost, there is a mail delay or an employee is late crediting the payment for one reason or the other.

OP needs to contact Synchrony.  If this is your first time being late, I would ask them to waive the late fee.
