I'm so angry I feel like I have been ripped off and I feel like they are ripping everybody off...I bought Beekman 1802 wondermilk from HSN I was watching QVC they had the same thing for $6

Cheaper so I called HSN customer service they said they aren't allowed to change the price IF YOU ARE OWNED  BY THE SAME COMPANY IF YOU SELL YOUR STUFF ON THE SAME CHANNEL IT SHOULD BE THE SAME PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!THIS GOES FOR QVC TO I CHECKED OTHER BEEKMAN STUFF I ORDERED AND IT COST MORE ON QVC. SHAMEYOU ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I 😡😡😡😡😡

This is what is called "competition."  As I understand it, HSN and QVC are run as 2 separate companies although both are owned by the same entity.

They probably pay more for the same items bought at different times and sent to different places.  QVC may also have ordered a lot more than HSN of that product.  

One set of buyers operates separately from the others and they are separate companies.

I think they count on people who DON'T know they are owned by one company to buy at the price they offer...

What I don't get is why people don't Google thier selections before they hit buy.....usually a whole bunch of sites come up with all different prices...

In the end, it's up to us to dig deep when we purchase...

I saw a post on here yesterday about Temptations items being sold in a store for way less than QVC charges..yep...that happens!!!!

You'll never make that mistake again I'd bet!! 

Just enjoy your purchase, or return it by Jan 31, 2024 after you "try it" and "Don't like it"  wink wink!!!!

Get ALL your money back... and be sure to come back here and let us know how using the product for several months worked for you!!!

You don't say in your post specifically how much your purchase for the item cost you on HSN.  If QVC sold it for $6 less than you paid on HSN, maybe there is a reason? I think that might make a difference in perception. I don't find $6 a big ripoff. It's unfortunate, but there might not be a direct comparison to gripe about.

Maybe that one item on HSN  was a differrent size or quantity than the item on QVC, justifying the price difference?

Maybe one came with free shipping and not the other?

Maybe the two different price levels were more than two weeks apart or one was a special sale of the day, not the same item at the same day?

They may be sister companies, but if the circumstances or product were different, then the price difference might have a reason.  If you clarified what the purchase comparisons actually were, I think you'd get a lot of people to validate your annoyance.

@Mygirlsqueak  . You weren't "ripped off" you just didn't do your due diligence and shop around. Don't blame QVC for your lack of checking both sites. Your fault, no one else's.

I buy on both channels. I always check the price since they have so many of the same companies. I use a lot of Beekman products and Beekman has been on the Q for the last few days and it may have been a sale price. Usually, HSN is cheaper and runs better sales. 

Either way, I use the Wondermilk and love it. My advice is to keep it in the fridge. It will melt as soon as it hits your skin.

HSN and QVC have separate independent Presidents reporting to the Qurate CEO.

They have independent power for product presentations,  pricing, programming, promotions.

I personally believe that Qurate may get wholesale bulk rates for joint purchases,  but each division sets its own prices from the inventory allotments. 

Qurate shareholders don't care which division gets your business.   It all ends up in the same Qurate revenue pot.

@Mygirlsqueak.  Quit screaming, nobody is being ripped off.  A wise consumer compares prices before buying or accepts the consequences.

HSN and QVC are not the same company.  They operate independently and have separate corporate structures.  They also don't operate on the same channel.

By the way, by comparing prices, I discovered the best Beekman prices on Amazon and no s&h for Prime members.

Google anything you buy before you buy it so you can find the best price.

Beware of Ebay sellers. I have found some have a Amazon Prime account so when you buy what they are selling it's shipped from Amazon. You could have just bought that product from Amazon for less money.
