For brands that are featured on both, I always compare before buying.
I have found significant differences in Beekman and tweaked for the same item and have benefited.

@kaydee50 That's my understanding also. I didn't ever see that the powers at HSN lost their jobs recently.
I assume the Beekman Brothers sold their products to each of the companies in separate contracts. That's a guess. I pay no attention. I've never bought the brand except one piece occasionally in a local shop.
A lot of what the Brothers do is very clever marketing. I've bought goatmilk products elsewhere for less money and liked what I bought just as well as the Beekman products. I don't buy tangible gifts often, so I really don't need to pay for beautiful boxes, kits, etc.

@Mygirlsqueak If you are concerned about getting the best "deal" it's up to you to check prices out before you buy. QVC and HSN are different channels. They don't have to look after you.

I checked on my Salmon from QVC and found that the HSN Salmon from Curtis Stone is the same product. And Curtis's salmon costs more than QVC's. For the same amount and size as QVC's. That's why it's good to check on things.

Yes, it pays to shop around, even within the same company. Consider this a lesson learned. Online prices can be different than in-store prices (though store will often agree to match if you ask nicely). Store prices for the same item can vary from location to location (they call it strategic pricing). Gasoline prices can vary from location to location within the same company, even stations that are a few miles apart (e.g. Wawa convenience stores here in the Mid-Atlantic).

You weren't ripped off, I've found prices to be different many times. I also check other vendors, including the product's website. One of the good things about ordering online is that we can actually "shop" for the best price. I find the Tweak'd products to be very different between QVC and HSN.
Welcome to the boards, I find lots of interesting information here.

Many things I purchase on line are sold all over the internet on QVC, Walmart, Amazon and Ebay, etc. I check first for the best price, sometimes shipping costs make the difference.
