Re: Please shorten the presentations

Agreed.  It causes me to change the channels.  Often I have to put the TV on mute so I can stomach it

Re: Please shorten the presentations

This is one of the most ridiculous recommendations I have ever seen.  QVC is in the business of sales, not editorial content or entertainment.

The length of each presentation is a function of sales and inventory.  If an item is selling, and they have inventory, it will stay on air.  Only when the sales slow down to a pre-determined rate (because they could sell something else that is more profitable), will the presentation stop.

Re: Please shorten the presentations

You think QVC is bad--I watched another shopping network (not HSN) the other night, and just out of sheer curiosity, I timed a beauty product they were selling. They stayed an hour and a half on this one product, and they only sold to 67 people during that time (beauty product was over $300). Ha! Cat LOL

Re: Please shorten the presentations

That producer is always in the hosts ear, telling her when and how to keep going selling. That's why the worst product takes so long, b/c it's not selling. They're going to sell and push and push for sales.

Like sales and clearances, maybe if they put some decent prices when on sale or clearance, people would be "grabbing" items and they really would be "flying out the door." In a few minutes. If your showing six items in an hour show, business ain't going!
