Good Morning QVC and Community!

This is just a friendly suggestion, but I feel like if QVC is not able to actually ship my item within 5 business days, you guys should allow me to cancel my order. Kinda crappy that here you take my money right away for the purchase price or the Easy Pay price, whichever option I’ve chosen for that particular order, and then take absolutely forever to actually ship the items. I ordered 2 of the Chenille Lisa Rinna jackets, one is XS and one in XXS because I was not sure of the size I needed, and neither of these jackets have shipped. At this point, I don’t feel like I’m ever going to get either of these jackets but you also don’t allow me to cancel the order either! I definitely think there needs to be some sort of solution to this. At the very least, even an update as to WHY it hasn’t shipped, that would be nice too. Right now my Order Status just says “Preparing your Order” and it has said that since I very first placed the order last weekend. Here we are at Friday, a full 5 business days later, and I’m still wondering when I’m going to get these jackets.

Thank you very much.

@Abelsmommy   Last month when I ordered an item that took a few days to process, QVC never touched my money until the day it actually started to ship.

Yes to all of this!!! I have an order that has been in "preparing your order" status for 8 days.  It was due to be delivered two days ago, and I just five minutes ago I got an email saying it's delayed, but no option to cancel.  The social team can't say whether the item is even in stock (shows sold out on product page). I wish I could cancel and order something else, but I don't want to end up with an extra item, on the off chance the original somehow ships, and then be strapped with shipping and return shipping fees.

Re: Allow Cancellations!!

Welcome @Abelsmommy

QVC doesn't charge until the order ships.  If you see  "pending" on your credit card, that means QVC was checking your bank's approval for the charge.  It is not actually charged at that time.

Try emailing the Social Team at QVCSocialTeam@QVC.com with your order number.  Maybe, someone there can help you.

Sometimes I have actually received the item before my credit card has even been charged.

@Abelsmommy You are never charged for an item until it ships.  That's why if you have 3 items and 1 is on a waitlist, you will only be charged for the 2 items that have shipped.  The waitlist item will not be deducted from your account until it ships.  As someone mentioned you will see a "pending" charge on your account, that again is just the supplier reaching out to your bank for approval (authorization) to charge you.  They have to make sure the account is valid.  If you are looking for your order I suggest reaching out in the Customer Care forum with your issue about canceling/where your order is and then they can look into it for you.  But again you are never ever charged until it ships.  I know of no supplier that has done that to me.

Yes, it is true QVC doesn't charge you until the item ships.  However, the point is that we should be allowed to cancel as the item sits there "In Process" for over a week. I agree with the OP on that one.

You can't even call customer care and cancel! I tried that on 2 Logo tops. The customer care rep that I talked to cancelled both orders. Even after that call, 1 shipped! I won't be surprised to find the other one ships too.

it would be nice if the items I order don't go right to back order when they say they just got more in. I order early too before anything is sold out.

This happens all the time!

It used to be that you were allowed to cancel an item, within a day or two of making the order. I noticed that it has changed since HSN and QVC merged! Very upset about that.
