I was interested in the Vionic TSV today and as such, I like to look at the reviews, (if there are any), and the questions and answers specific to that product on the item page before I purchase. I have noticed over the years that the questions and answers portion is sorely lacking. I realize that manpower wise, you cannot possibly address each product, but certainly with a TSV, you could allocate that manpower. There are many questions on the page for today's Vionic TSV with no answers. It seems like QVC will only answer a certain amount of questions and then the remaining pages of questions are left blank into perpetuity. For the most part, these are good questions and help the customer to make an informed decision. The hosts and vendors don't always address these questions so it would be helpful to  make sure that especially for TSV's, a person or persons is/are assigned for that day to address these questions. If you would consider my suggestion, I would be most appreciative!Smiley Happy

Re: Please Answer Questions!!

I would think that the vendor would be on there answering questions.  Afterall, they are suppose to be the "expert" about their product. I would think it would boost sales.  I doubt if a QVC employee would have all the info in order to answer.

Frustrating, I am sure.  It costs too much to try and send back no matter how much they tout their return policy.

Re: Please Answer Questions!!

I've seen instances where when TracFones are the TSV, the vendor answered questions.  I don't know why they don't do that with all TSVs.  Sometimes they are the only ones who can answer the questions.

You're right, an effort should be made to respond to all TSV inquiries.

@Deb213

I also agree--- instead of family stories,  doing the chicken dance and goofing around,  playing 20 questions,  or going through the colors for the umpteenth time, or taking a phone call, they should be answering these questions.   It shows presentations are lacking .  No reason why the producer can't check the website and relay the questions to the host to ask the vendor.   Or have the vendor answer these in between shows

As @Kachina624  has said some vendors do, I've seen Valerie's team do that too

Re: Please Answer Questions!!

I thought those questions were posted more to people who purchased the products and could provide an answer.  Many times I will get an email from QVC asking if I could answer a product I purchased.

It's both. If it's a new item it's aimed at the vendor if it's a product that's already been sold it could be asking people that already purchased the product.   I asked the vendor how much a Christmas tree weighed and on a other item how long the batteries normally last if you used the 6 hour timer and the vendor answered me these were brand new items

Re: Please Answer Questions!!

I agree that answering questions makes a difference.  I was looking at something at REI and one of the questions was exactly what I was wondering.  Question was answered and I felt more confident about buying.  I hesitated even though I can easily return to a nearby store.  With QVC, I generally won't buy because returning is a much bigger deal.

I don't know if REI answers all the questions, but they had been answered on the items I was considering.

@rms1954.  Are you sure you're not thinking of Amazon?  I've gotten those but I don't think QVC does that.  I've never gotten such a request.

Re: Please Answer Questions!!

@Kachina624  If you click on What is Q & A ?  just under the questions sections, it states that this is a place for customers to ask questions of other customers who may have the product...the questions are not addressed to specific customers, such as you or me. If you have a question, you post it and HOPE someone answers.

That said, the vendors or a Q rep sometimes do post answers, but that's not the purpose of this section.

And honestly, many of the questions wouldn't even be necessary if people would read the description! Many more would also not be necessary if the Q would post complete information in the description...a big question I'm seeing these days is people want to know the country of origin. The descpription usually just says "Imported".

@Kachina624 no, QVC does send emails asking if you can answer a question. I have received those emails.
